I think its obvious Royce white. it would have been a better question if he wasnt in the addition, which of course Lin would win.

So we can take 8 mil for Jlins contract, but the other team will still have to pay lin 15 mil. So essentially the other team will be getting double the salary obligations it ships out.

Only the Knicks would have had the 15 million count towards its cap in the final third year if they had matched. Now if Lin is traded the other team will have his salary averaged out 8/8/8 against their cap. They would have to pay Lin 5/5/15 but it only counts as 8/8/8 against the team's cap.

i admit jeremy lin is a good teammate.its not his fault that we offered him a ridiculous amount of money, also we put so much pressure on him to be a superstar overnight...now..,,, is he getting overpaid? hell ya he is! but i would give him one more year or maybe till all star break next year and see if can improve. whats funny, is about the crazy lin fans who think he is a superstar and harden is a ballhog, when lin himself admits he is no were near where he and everybody else wants him to be..i want lin to play good so the rockets would do good. im a rockets fan for life.....i bleed red.

Ahh thanks PNR and Langhi for clearing that up for me. Well let's just hope Lin gets better then. I think he will.

Depends. If there's a hint that CP3 and Howard are willing to partner up, then I'd void Lin's contract because then we're Asik+Robinson trade away from clearing roughly two max contracts. Of course, this is assuming Lin's trade value is so low that we can't give him away for free.

Otherwise, White is so obvious the choice.

White is the biggest pos that has ever had any affiliation with the Houston Rockets. F#%k him! He's living the life right now but he's delusional. He'll be broke in less than 5 years.

He is making slightly above average PG money and in the regular season at least he has done slightly above average PG stats. If people honestly are thinking Lin's contract is worst then a guy that looks to be one of the biggest 1st round busts in history and a potential blight on the franchise name, I honestly can't figure it for another reason other then they just don't like the guy because short of landing CP3 there aren't any better options available or reasons for the team to cut the guy after one year.

White's contract will expire next year and he is only getting 1.7M, so who cares? Lin is obvious answer.

He gets paid almost 2 million to go to practices whenever he pleases, impregnate 5 women per season, and not follow orders, as well as lambasting the organization on twitter. People who voted Lin are just plain haters.

Sure, if not understanding the cap is a truth bomb, then Jetfuel is nuking the place.

You do realize that "stupid thread" was your word choice first, right?

I guess the team no longer believes Lin is a good fit.

This wasn't a veiled attack on Lin. I did a similar post last year asking who was the most overpaid Rocket. This time that seemed to obvious since White is clearly way overpaid.

But that doesn't mean it's our worst contract necessarily, since it's relatively small. The worst contract would be the one you'd most like to get rid of if you could.

    I still say that's White.

But it is still two years away till Lin's contract is up, how possibly Morey would know already if he wants to sign Lin or not.

You think Morey's spin doesn't mean much but you think your spin of Morey's spin makes a lot more sense?

And you think your talent assessment ability might be better than Morey's.

You may not be hating on Lin but you sure sounds very poor on logical thinking.
