You get an additional 1 point for each white American you have on the team.

Other than the obvious answer of flopping, I would like to see charges only count as a turnover and not a foul. I think this just double penalizes a player. How many times have we seen player have to be taken out of games because a charge counted as a foul, especially when flopping is involved. Its so unfair. Or they can raise the foul limit to 7 or 8. Another change would be if someone is intentionally fouled, it's a one and one situation. One free throw plus the ball back. There's some flaws like, what do we define as intentionally fouling and when is that rule implemented (entire game, 4th quarter, last 5 minutes?).
Also a hard cap of minimal and maximum spending is what I would like to see in the next CBA. I'm tired of teams like the Lakers, Knicks, and Nets having payrolls of near 100 million while other teams are well below 70 million. Also teams should have a payroll of at least 65% of the salary cap.

each overtime quarter every player gets 1 extra foul, if a player has fouled out in regulation then they stay fouled out, but in overtime 7 fouls are allowed, double overtime 8 fouls...and of course flopping needs to be taken out

Allow dunking from the 3 point line.

I would eliminate the 3pt shot.

i would get rid of the ability to draw a charge all together.. make defenders contest the shot, offensive guys can still get hit with an offensive foul if they are too aggressive barreling over guys but no more stopping in the lane and falling down to get the foul..

Have a four point shot from half court.

Instead of restricting time outs (which I favor as well), how about eliminating them altogether? The best coached and smartest players would have a *huge* advantage, and we wouldn't get all those annoying interruptions.

This could never happen because the advertisers live for the late game NBA time-out.

    Nice thread.

No fouls. Also the floor would be lubricated.

Have players wear force sensitive material to make sure there is enough force they get hit before getting a foul call.

NBA Jam style: in some games dunks are 2 points and 3's are 4 points lol

    (nba, premiere leagues)

    - Allow more fouls per player, nba summer league style. Or even eliminate fouling out altogether. Only in basketball are players eliminated out a game for too many basic infractions. Who wants to pay to go to see dwight howard and harden sitting out 3/4 of the game cuz of 2 early ticky tack fouls (from flops)

    - No back-to-back games. Or lessen the amount. Too much risk of injury.

    - Lessen amount of total games. Season drags on too much. And would need fewer games for no back to backs (the strike shortened season was actually nice.) People would say what about career total stats in all time ranks, but perhaps a player plays an extra 1-3 years with a fresher body from less pounding

    - Widen the court. More spacing, equal distant 3's, less "corner 3" specialists.

    - Allow more supposed "unsportsmanlike" situations. Let players hang on the rim, wear way too much extra gear for style points, etc. allow a little more character.

    - No other issues really bother me much. Im not really missing interior post game and all that too much. I think nba is more physical than it appears. 4 points for half court shot makes sense, but then I worry about silly usage and the 3 point shot being less glamourized.

    Overall basketball:
    - I hate in gym ball how its 1 point for reg shots and 2 points for "3's" cuz it means itd actually count as 4 points. Thats makes for too many chuckers taking the lazy way out (thought its the one way for less athletic goobers to win against superior athletic ballers) itll never change cuz brains are too limited to count in multiples of 2 but thats part why there isnt as much post game in basketball now

    - No foul outs
    - Actually enforce traveling (bring back the Globetrotter-esque passing)
    - 4 points from half-court
    - Eliminate most driving fouls in the lane (charges and blocking)
    - Eliminate most non-shooting touch fouls
    - Change freethrows to one single 2-point shot

If a pass leads to free throws, the passer should get an assist (or part of an assist) if the FT shooter makes FTs.

    I agree.

If you are fouled in a shot, and make both free throws, does it count as a made shot?

Get rid of charges. Tired of people just stepping under players at the last moment to draw a charge. I want to see people go up and contest shots for once. I get so frustrated when refs call those dumb charges when an offensive player is running down the court without the ball and the defender decides to just plant himself in front of the player at the last moment to get the offensive foul.
