If you could redraft, would you take Michael Jordan over Hakeem?

It isn't a tough question because Jordan was not the best player in the draft!! Hakeem was and any team with the first pick would have selected Hakeem first!!The big mistake was that we didn't trade Ralph Sampson for the JORDAN pick, which I understand was offered to us. Also previously we selected Rodney McCrey instead of Clide Drexler :p

I would ABSOLUTELY draft MJ if I could redraft.

Since I already know how the Hakeem thing works out, it only makes sense to try something different the second time around. Sheesh.....DUH!!

Wait, that's not what you meant, is it?

And give up the Twin Towers years? That only works in hindsight. Hakeem, Ralph, Lloyd, Lucas, Reid, McCray. If that team stays together and stays healthy, the championship history would look a lot different.

According to the 610 radio, Rox had a chance to have Dream and Mike together by trading Sampson, but someone did not do it, we should have both if Morey was the GM.

Why couldn't Jordan's Bulls beat the Magic in 1995?

Why could hakeem only lead the rockets to titles the years jordan was retired? Really hakeem is great and the greatest rockets in history, but he doesn't compare to jordan. Hakeem isn't even the greatest center in history with at least shaq being better than him, not skillwise, but in terms of domination and leading his team to titles.

Rockets and Bulls never meet each other in the NBA final, do you know why? Jordan said Hakeem is the number 1 center in histroy, then you said no.

I'm pretty sure the consensus these days is that shaq is the better center over hakeem. People can hate shaq all they want, but they can't deny his domination and the effect he had on games.

Wrong, if you read the center rank in another thread in this side, Dream is third, and Shaq is sixth or late by many people, domination is his offensive end, Dream is better than Shaq in all other areas.

Because Hakeem didn't have another Top 50 player in his prime playing beside him. And if you think Shaq is the greatest center of all-time, you may be the most NBA-stupid poster on the board, and that says a lot.

Morey wouldn't have wanted to miss this:

I didn't say that. I said shaq was better than hakeem.

Geez, this is a tough poll.

    I haven't voted yet.

MJ had amazing natural ability, but came to fruiting under the guidance of Phil Jackson (and with a strong supporting team). If he'd have been a Rocket, he still would have been a strong talent, but he probably would not have been as spectacular as he was.

Hakeem also was an amazing talent - but it took us a while to get the great supporting cast around him to win championships.

AND.. I feel that the reason we didn't win a third championship was because the NBA changed the rules in ways that hindered the performance of centers.

    hmmm.......

Michael JOrdan scoring 55 on the Knicks the season the Rockets won the championship.

He was there...and he lost to the team the Rockets would sweep in the finals.

I guess that the No.50 is Sampson, I never watch his plays, do not know if he is good or great, but I will take Dream again, then Jordan.
