I'm sticking with my ten, but I like this one:

    The Absinthe Drinker by Manet

That would have to be number one. It's great and different than anything else even today, at the time it was painted it's insane. Most everything else at the time were portraits or straight up religious scenes.

While this painting does have a religious theme, it's just so very different.

I would also include Rembrandt's the Night Watch.

Van Dyck at the court of the Charles the I. would also be there.

One or maybe both of these Mark Ryden paintings would probably be included as well.

    or

There are even more by him that I would also be happy to include. But I would also want to include at least one of Velasquez' paintings as well. Probably Dwarf sitting on the Floor.

    I would also like

At least these from N.C. Wyeth.

    And

I could fill out the rest with illustrations by Wyeth.

That duel is awesome. I am not familiar with Wyeth.

I found another alternate if one of the others isn't 'available':

The Son Of Man by René Magritte
