I'd probably go for Reddick if we end up with a pick in the 10-20 range, which is where we'll likely end up.

I thought i might bump this thread since we now have more information about the rockets and the fact that the ncaa's are going on right now.

i think out of the 2 positions that are needed most on the rockets. as of right now we need a SG the most. mostly because of j howard and swift being under lengthy contracts. i think that swift though could be a decent backup for the future and his contract is decent. but j howard needs to go. so if the rox can move him then maybe we can pick up the best SG or PF available. and then use the MLE or trade to get the other position filled.

    Tyrus Thomas or Alderidge.

though i wouldn't be disappointed with Gay or Morrison.

and lets face it...having Head and Gay in the backcourt would be priceless.

Our need positions are three (3) + bench players. Anyone drafted at any one of these positions would be an impact player compared to what we have.

Really? So a rookie will outplay Rafer Alston playing the floor general in JVG's rookie-unfriendly system? Chuck Hayes (undrafted) isn't a bench impact player?

I think our deficiencies are vastly overrated. Rafer is a serviceable PG; our main needs are a bruising PF who can hit the mid-range shot (which I don't see Shelden Williams doing) and an athletic 2 guard (or swingman) who can defend and hit the open 3. Bench players don't need to be Ben Gordons; just high energy players who can fill a certain role.

I still stand by my statement: I don't see any impact players YET. I don't want to make a Bryce Drew type mistake again this year. And JVG doesn't like playing rookies too much (Head was thrust into it this year with all the injuries). AND our weaknesses, while glaring, are still being overstated. So let's just wait it out...
