I think I would go back to 2000 and Tell Gannon not to let Siragusa land on him, or go back to last Friday , create Clinton Portis and Drive to Foxboro to Kidnap Walt Coleman

I'd go back a couple days ago and keep Preston Wilson from leaving Anaheim.

Huh?

I would love to live in the 60's. I'd also invest in Wal Mart in the 70's and Dell in the early 90's.

One more question regarding this thread:

When we go back in time, do we get to be invisible? This obviously allows us to watch pretty ladies in the shower.

Someone clear things up...

lol...that was a good one, Nomar.

I would also love to see Jesus as well.

To answer your question, Kelly, I would say that you are invisible. However, that means that Nomar wouldn't be able to stop the sale of Babe Ruth.

You would have to have it like this because it's like that old Twilight Zone episode, you don't want to mess up the present and the future by screwing up the past. Or you can compare it to Back to the Future II :D (the most hard-to-follow sequel movie of all-time).

50's. I'd collect a whole lotta shi!t (and more) I already have in my home. Vintage shirts and occupied japan nik-naks.

Colonial Mexico, late1700's to early 1800's.

I always wanted to be an indian when I was a kid, so maybe Oklahoma around the same time as colonial Mexico...can I do that? Two places at once or would I have to actually get on a train from Mexico to OKlahoma? I'm an injun for cryin' out loud, can I get some help here?!?

The band, as far as I'm concerned. Metal Guru, give me a top hat, slap my bongo, and call me Jeepster for your love.

A couple of questions:

1) If we have a time machine, do we have to only go back to one period of time?

2) Even for people who are devout Christians, do you really believe that you can go back in time to Adam and Eve, or even a few days earlier? Just curious.

3) What has always confused me is, where do you "land" when you go back in time? Wherever you want or in the same physical location as where you left? Further, what happens if you go back, say, 20 billion years, before earth existed? That'd be wierd.

Anyway, my choices

Number 1: Go back a little after the end of the last Ice Age (around 10,000 BC) and live with an Indian tribe in North America somewhere. It seems like it could be peaceful and relaxing.

Number 2 would be to see all the great ancient civilizations/people: Rome, Greece, Egypt, Mayans, Incans, Polynesians, etc.

Number 3: Go back and trace the history of human evolution. It'd be cool to know.

Number 3a: Specifically, I'd also be interested in who I am related to in the past. It'd be cool, for example, to see a little bit of the pieces of my parents life whne they were young kids, and then some of thier parents life (at any age), and then so and and so on backwards.

Number 4: Finally, if I had a time machine, I'd probably go into the future too (sorry if that wasnt a choice). I'd like to know if we really are alone?

I find it amusing that so many think they would go back in time AND get to hang out with movie stars, musicians, spiritual leaders, etc. Does this fictional time machine make you cool too?

:D

I'd personally go back and swipe the job of inventing the internet from Al Gore. Then I'd turn it into ALL p*rn ALL THE TIME and get rich off my "assets."

Oh, wait, it is all p*rn all the time. Why aren't I rich off of it? Hmmmm.

For my fictional time space machine. I'd be like Sam Beckett.
1) June 11, 2001
2) September 7, 1941
3) Revolutionary War. I could do wonders with trenches and modern technology and strategies. Then there would be a lot of I'd like TJ to put into the Bill of Rights and some stuff in the constitution I'd try to change.
4) 1920. Germany.
5) Old west
6) 1970. Come up with Great Idea .......Star Wars. Kill Jar Jar binks before Lucas ever comes up with the idea.

One of my favorite topics of discussion, and I could/might go on about this forever...

1) Ancient Rome, but probably either mid-late Republic, or during Augustus' Pax Romana...

2) Ancient Egypt, Late Dynasty...

3) Late 18th/early 19th Century Europe, days of French Revolution/Napoleon...

4) Ancient Greece, possibly around the time of the Pelopenisian War/ Goleden Age of Athens

5) Victorian England, age of exploration.

6) Ancient Alexandria, first age of knowlege

7) North America around time of French Indian War

8) The 60's...the times, the music, the movements

9) Cordoba or Baghdad during mid Islamic Empire

10) T'Ang Dynasty China

11) Asia Minor/Syria during the rule of the Diadocci

12) Ancient Carthage

13) Japan's Middle Ages, most likely during rule of Oda Norabunga

14) Renaissance Italy/Southern France

15) 10th/11th century Scandanavia..Viking Age

16) Middle Byzantine Empire

17) Moghul India

18) Ancient Syracuse, during brief empire

19) Minoan Crete

20) France during the age of the Sun King

That's all for now...

Considering that I'm a black male, I would find it unsafe to travel pre-1970's. Guarentee my safety and we might have a different story.

I think the future would be kinda cool though (until I get there and see how messed up everything is).

Thank god I dont agree with EITHER Manny or ZRB. :)

I would like to live in the 1920s in the time that a common man through perseverence couls make a zillion just by inventing car headlights, or something lienthat. when a mann could build a city out of a swamp (Miami beach) could be the first to do many things.

times of industry. also it would be interesting to live through the depressiona dn both world wars. that is why befining in the 1920 in my 20's would be great.

as far as just a time machine visit. well I really dont know there are too damn many. I would like to experience the age of sail. Piracy, the revolution , imperial russia, victorian england. scotlands fight for freedom.
be the first euro to tahiti ;)

history is fun.

Cool question. :) There are so many places and times I'd like to visit.

I want to be on the grassy knoll with my video camera the day Kennedy is shot. I'd like to clear that whole mess up.

I want to be at the Roswell crash site and clear that mess up.

I'd like to meet Moses and see him really part the Red Sea.

I want to see Noah's Ark being built, the Pyramids, and Great Wall as well.

I'd like to meet Jesus and hang out for a while. I have a few questions for him.

I'd like to be with the first "Indians" who met Columbus. That would be too funny.

I'd like to go back to the day after Black Thursday 1929 and buy some stock.

There is soooo much stuff. I'd probably visit every significant historical event I could think of. There are so many awesome speeches that I'd like to attend also. My time machine would get worn out.
