It is taken. It was the name for Louis Dunbar who went from the Coogs to the Harlem Globetrotters. "Sweet Lou" Dunbar had a world of talent.
I don't care too much about nicknames, but I love it when the PA announcer (he's great) goes 'YAAAAAOOOO MINNNG!" or 'TRAAAAAACY MCGRAAAAAADYYYYY" I can just imagine him shouting, "LUIIIIIIIIIIS SCOLAAAAAAAA!!!!!"
C'mon now, am I the only one that thinks players should EARN their nicknames and not just given one? I just don't believe in giving somebody a nickname when they have yet to prove themselves on an NBA court. Look at the past players that yall have tried to nickname. Malik "Badman" Badiane, The infamous V-SPAN and whatever corny nickname yall gave Steve Novak. What have those guys done in the NBA? Nothing. It's a freaking curse to give players nicknames without earning them.
