If you could bring back one TV show which would it be?

"Lucky Louie," and it should be on broadcast television (meaning decency standards should have evolved by now).

"Martin," but only if he doesn't try to write the scripts himself or sexually harass Tisha Campbell.

"Frasier" and "Mad About You," but they were so dull.

"In Living Color," wouldn't have been a "Mad TV" or "Chappelle Show" without it.

And "John from Cincinatti," just to see how annoying it could have gotten.

Concur. Never watched American Pie and barely remember Harold and Kumar, so if I ever see Henry Cho or Danny Kaye Thomas, this is what I remember them from. And that British Ryan Reynolds knock-off. But god, the WB was such a massive tax write-off. If I had premium cable at the time, I'm not sure I would have watched a non-Fox UHF network on a Sunday night.

Cheap Seats, of course; the '70s slo-mo ultimate frisbee segment from Wide World of Sports with the psychedelic guitar riffs was legendary. And the bizarro twirling competition with Calvin Murphy, where he did poorly and gave a surly interview afterwards.

And SportsCentury appears to have been done away with altogether.

So much unbridled hatred for French Stewart. Every time I'm watching TV and I see John Lithgow, I have to pull my hairline back, open my eyes really wide and say his name using his loud, annoying half-British accent. I do the same thing anytime I see Jason Robards, or Hector Elizondo.

    Firefly, Gargoyes, and Frisky Dingo.

I would add Avatar: The Last Airbender (already mentioned in this thread), but the movie is being made, and we knew the series would only be three seasons from the start. It completed it's story and ran it's course.

    Also, Animaniacs. That show ruled.

Agreed. That and Batman had me watching cartoons a little longer into my teens than I thought I would. Gonna re-search youtube for their "countries" song.

Without a doubt, Firefly is at the top of the list. I would still like to see Chappelle Show in some shape or form, although given the way he departed and then later commenting on the execs... probably not. I still miss the show though.

    You mean this one?

    <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/IDtdQ8bTvRc&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/IDtdQ8bTvRc&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Even though it's dated, this song still comes in very handy sometimes. This one and the state capitols:

    <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/sNUDDaEOvuY&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/sNUDDaEOvuY&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

As for bringing back TV shows, I'd like to cast a vote for "Drive", the short-lived Fox action show. I thought it looked very interesting, and would have loved to see what came next. Nathan Fillion is jinxed.

I'd bring back literally the entire '87 Nickelodeon daily lineup. It was the last time I was happy... :(

Also the ABC TGIF lineup of Boy Meets World, Step by Step (saw it was mentioned), and Family Matters. Good ol' cheesy low effort writing harmless TV.

Nickelodeon and ABC dominated my TV until Fox gimmicked their way in.

I wasnt a Friends fanatic, nor was I a hater. And I think that was the point. The Friends loyalists wanted Ross and Rachel and no lineup changes. I thought the format was so basic & appealled at such a consistent regular level you could have had "new" Friends characters in it. But that never happens in a show.
