World needs more of this:

 

There aren't any "change the world, make it a better place" music anymore. Thats what this world needs now especially with what's been going on. Too much hatred. Michael Jackson is the answer here.

 

John Lennon easily. At some point he’d have done something with Paul and It’d unlikely be complete ****. Plus at the minimum they’d have run through a tour or two by now. Couldn’t charge enough to see them.

Freddie Mercury second, just to see him live. We probably got the best music we were going to get out of Queen.

Hendrix would be great. I’d love to see Layne Staley still around. I think Cantrell still has some good music in him, just needs that voice back.

 

In his prime? Easy.

JAMES BROWN.

Otis Redding, Prince, MJ, Zappa, all great candidates....but all a distant 2nd to JB as far as I'm concerned.

 

Bringing Zappa back during the Trump era would be entertaining.

But my top 10 list would be those from my favorite bands and artists (in the hopes that they would tour again and I'd have the opportunity to see them live).

So, in that light, my top 10 would be:

Ronnie James Dio....cause no one wanted to bring him back and he rocked the **** out of it on stage with a sword and a dragon.

I'm less inclined to bring back people who died due to drug overdoses and wrecking themselves.

 

Kurt Cobain.

The last two albums are probably in my top 10 of the 90s (and Unplugged is up there as well). So yeah...kind of would like to see where it would have gone from there.

 

Both would be on my list. Amy Winehouse was incredibly talented and had just a classically amazing voice.

Brad Nowell was one of my favorite performers but I agree he might have had a hard time adjusting to today's music. He was a great songwriter, very creative and multi-talented. I never got the chance to see them live.

Shannon Hoon (Blind Melon) would be on my list. No Rain was their big seller but Soup was a great album. They were destined to becoming one of the big players on the jam band circuit. They're still playing but you cannot recreate his voice.

Layne Staley, too. AIC, like Blind Melon, can play on but you can't imitate him.

20 years ago me would say Cobain. I don't know anymore.

Tom Petty, Roy Orbison, and George Harrison so I could see The Traveling Wilbury's live.

Freddy Mercury because that had to be an awesome live experience.

 

Oh, and runner up would be the lead singer of the Flying Burrito Brothers.
