If you could be a professional athlete in any one major sport, what would it be?

So, you're ridiculously talented in the sport of your choosing, which would it be?

    PGA
    NFL
    NBA
    MLB
    MLS/Euro soccer
    NHL
    Random olympic athlete
    edit:
    tennis
    race car
    boxer/UFC

Me personally, probably MLB player. Still be semi-famous, ability to play a long time, fat contracts, decent but not too much celeb exposure, not a grind-games are easy, decent offseason, & no concussions.

Next choice: PGA. Good travel, solely responsible for my success, play as long as I want. Great scenery.

Looking like a season. How u?

    NBA. Easily.
Although soccer would be my second choice. That's an international support, also the world cup is an event like no other!

Place kick holder or 3rd string QB.

Golf. As long as you take care of your back and lower body, you're good to go.

Soccer/football. You play for a relatively long time, great money, not too rough on the body unlike the NFL, and the venue is the largest in the world. To be worshiped by so many on the level of players like Beckenbauer, Maradona, Zidane, and Best... *sigh*

I would also be an Olympic sprinter for America. There's something pure about simply running fast as a human being versus other sports, and to be the fastest in the world at an event like the 100m dash like Usain Bolt would be thrilling.

as a female- tennis. It's an individual sport, lot of endorsement opportunities, plus I really enjoy the sport. Golf as my second option
Basketball has always been my favorite, but no way I'd want to play for WNBA. they earn like 30-60k, not the best image, and can't play the sport for very long

if I were a guy- NBA

Archery, so I could be like Hawkeye. I'd the the first famous Archer and put the sport on the map. I'd be like Kobe famous.

I edited the question to include tennis, fighter or driver. You know, on second thought, I bet a nascar/indy car driver experiences the most adrenaline rushes of any sport. Maybe the way to go if you want to be an athlete for the pure rush.

As a side note, I posted this just watching coverage of the Junior Seau tragedy. Made me think!

Although I don't particularly care for the sport or have any personal affinity towards it, I would have to pick soccer, hands down. It is the most widely recognized sport in the world, and frankly, if you're good at soccer, chances are you'll probably be the most popular guy around wherever you go in the world (except for America, obviously). Impressing people and picking up women would be a breeze.

If I picked one for purely personal taste, it would be hockey.

Golf or MLB. Strictly for the longevity in earning prowess.

In my heart, PG for the Houston Rockets.

I love the game of basketball and the NBA but under its conditions, I rather play Major League Baseball. If I could play any sport, and be pretty decent, it's Major League Baseball.

Guaranteed contracts, Good union, no salary cap, Play in the summer time.

If i had kids, my kids could travel the country with me to see me play. You're in the same city for a few days, so you could have a booty hook up in every city you're in, not that I'd ever do that, but my teammates might.

    If you're left handed, and a pitcher, you'll play until you're 50.
