I'd give them all to Chuck, then you have a perennial D-POY and one of the best defenders in league history
My take is that the premise of this hypothetical question is that the added height (or length ) won’t change the build/strength/speed/athleticism of the player. Without this premise, all is moot. For example, realistically Brooks with 6 more inches surely won’t be as quick as he is now and won’t get by opponents at will. And we all know speed is his biggest advantage. Without that I’m not sure how good he still is. So with that in mind, I’d give the 6 inches to Yao. Imagine an 8’ center with the same shooting touch and stamina/strength. The above premise means that he won’t be more injury prone with the added height. Can you say Un-Freaking-Stoppable?
no..this entire thread fails.. theres no way we can know how good any player would be with 6 inches added..height is a very large part of being an effective basketball player. this is like saying would "megan fox be hotter with a bigger cup size?"..
You're overrating Lowry quite a bit again. LeBron actually has a jump shop (they even go in sometimes!) and he is a much better passer than Kyle. LeBron is also much more skilled at finishing, not just due to his size but due to his touch around the rim. Lowry has okay touch, but he seems to miss an awful lot of layups which just roll off the rim. With his frame, he has no excuse to be a worse finisher than Brooks, but somehow he is.
I want you to re-read that post that guy made and decide again whether he was being sarcastic or not.
I'd give 3'' to Kevin Martin, and 3'' to Jordan Hill. Martin would be more physically imposing and dangerous finishing at the rim, and Hill would be an enforcer in the paint. At 7'2'', he'd be unstoppable with his combination of size and athleticism.
Off topic a bit, but this is weird thread anyhow. How does wingspan coincide with height? Is the average humans' wingspan directly proportional to his height? 5'9" height = 5'9" wingspan? I know some people have ridiculously long arms. Example, if anyone remembers Tony Delk, when he was standing straight up with his arms to his sides, his hands were well below his knees. Stand up and see where your hands are. Anyway, I'd love to see Chuck Hayes at a legit 6"10" without shoes. There's our Ben Wallace right there, on the cheap. I absolutely love Yao, but then we could let him and his ever present injury potential go. Then I'd add 2 inches to AB. I'd add 2 inches to Lowry over AB if only Lowry could learn to shoot the 3 consistently.
Yeah, on average, your wingspan is the same as your height. But there is plenty of variation. For instance, I'm 6'2" and have a 6'6" wingspan. I know guys who I suspect have shorter arms than their height.
Give Hayes 4 inches Then our backup C problem = instantly solved Give Brooks 2 inches Brooks can suddenly finish at the rim and becomes Tony Parker v2.0
The 6 inches would be worse on Yao. I would like to take 6 inches from him and add it to chuck Then you would have a legit rebounder and a legit and nearly normal NBA center.....and still very tall but lighter
I would think Scola, because of his position and his already quite good size will be the one that benefits most. He will be one of the most dominant players offensivelly, he is as it is, arguably the NBA post player with most tricks/moves to attack the post, and he could dunk a lot more without fear of getting injuried. It would be like giving Gasol 3 inches and a couple of more tricks around the post.
i sure hope yall are girls because that was so g@y this is for the rocket not yall sick twisted minds
