exactly. unless, you know, they specifically whine about how tough you're guarding her, or if she doesn't know how to hit a point-blank shot...but that's usually when she's more interested in one of the guys playing, not the game itself.
I did respectable, except when i tried to drive on the 6-4 PF/C. They don't guard too hard on the outside but they mug you on rebounds.
If she calls a lame charging foul on you, throw the ball at her -- but that might be more treating her like a girl than a guy, in Kyle's world.
Im okay with playing D on them and having them score....i just hate when they get overly aggressive on D with me lol, so i just stop trying.
Playing against girls once. One goes to set a screen, I reach my hand out to put an arm on the screener to try and get by. Grab boob. On purpose. trollface.jpg.
it really depends on her skill level.. some girls are way better than some guys.. if thats the case I think they dont want your pity to play them soft. you should play them hard and that shows you respect their game and they appreciate that. if she's a girly girl you usually soften up a bit. Now thats for skill level... Now for hotness.. attractive girls that can play ball are extremely sexy You play them hard and hope they post you up
I make sure they don't guard me. If they do, I pretty much just take jumpers unless someone is switched onto me. Unless it is a good basketball player. I have played professional women up at Gregory (UT's gym) I can try to be as physical and dominant as I want to be, nothing is gonna stop a 6'7" beast who can jack 3s up over your face without even jumping lol... There are lot of girls that play at UT. Actually, not a lot, but there is at least 1 up there at all times I would say. Because there are so many crappy people playing with people who are good, and people who are mediocre, it doesn't usually make a dif, they just guard the worst person. However, when the wait is like 4,5 games, I don't care who guards me, I am not losing that game. If I could dunk, I would dunk on that girl 15 times in a row. LOL. Seriously hate waiting a hour for a game...
Haha. Growing up in the Alief area, I've played with quite a few ghetto dykes in my time. They seem to all be the same, talk a lot of arrogant noise, pretend that they have decent handles when its only passable, would never dare drive it in, but would play rough cheap defense.
I have it where if she looks like a butch, play physical and if she's hot, take it easy because hot girls tend not to try too hard because they hate to sweat and stuff
F that. I never guard black people unless they are over weight. I also try to stay away from tiny asians. Both are just way too fast for my slow ass. White people tend to be the slowest so I choose them! As for age, I go for the really young, or the really old lol. In all seriousness, most people I play with are 18-30, however there is this one group of professors that play pretty often and they can't physically move well, but they play amazing together and probably win 60-65% of their games. I prefer to play on the block, so I try to get someone that is around my size. If I have to guard someone bigger I usually don't play offense at all, too busy wasting my energy on D.
In college, the members of the women's team would join our pick up games at the gym on occasion...and they were all but Stockton-Malone-level dirty. Everyone was generally playing like normal, but they were slinging elbows and claws half the time. Ridiculous with the holding (not like that, natch) Only once there was an incident, where my buddy got tired of it and decided he was going to play more physical to close the gap. Bang. HUGE scene were the girl he was guarding exploded on him, accusing him of trying to get fresh and to keep his hands off her. Good times. Personally, I just tried a little harder to play clean against them, avoid contact, but not go easy in terms of trying to win.
Other. If the girl is Britney Griner, then she gets treated like a man. If its 00ROCKETGIRL, maybe ill go easy.
in before paulftsk! There is always that one girl that wants to play with the guys and really brings down the intensity of the games. On defense I'm not going all out, but I'm not going to let her get a shot up since I'm trying to stay on court as long as possible. On offense I'm playing my regular game except I'm calling out screens when I set them on her. The girl is never guarding me because I'm massive, but if there is a switch I'm not going to run her over or post up. I will get a bucket though; It's up to her teammates to help. If there is girl on my team I'm helping her out as much as possible on D; one foot in the paint all game. There are those that will take advantage on the low block because they want to stay on court too so I'm switching everything and telling her to go to the perimeter. On offense she's just another player on my team. Now if she is hooping like Cappie Pondexter or Diana Taurasi everything goes out the window.
This....if they are playing then YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME.... The people that claim to take it easy are probably playing like that all the time
In pick up games, the guy who has to guard the girl is usually the worst one on the team. Sucks to be you...
