Quantity of posting members would decrease. Quality of posts would increase (no offense meant to most Yao-Only fans ; many of whom make excellent posts).

Since this board isn't a cash cow for Clutch I don't think it would be a big deal.

Sorry but it is the same thing dude. You get a 0 on your essay. The VYOF would love him and whatever team he plays for. It's not about the Texans or the Titans. It is all about VY lust. YOF = VYOF. It's one and the same. That's all there is to it.

Boki stood up to Karla. For that, he'll always be a Rocket to me.

i like boki. he's playing very well for the nets. they have in playing in key situations. he never had that opportunity here in houston.

his situation is different from Yao's. Boki created some fans after his Karl Malone episode. Yao had fans before he stepped foot in the US. Its safe to say there are way more YOFs than BOKIOFERS.

The traffic would drop 90% or more if Yao leaves. Here's the proof:

Put simply, this BBS has virtually NO TRAFFIC (comparing to now) before Yao came to Rockets.

I joined this bbs because of Yao in 2002, but now I like this site so much even if Yao leaves I will still be posting here. :D

I suspect that the traffic would die down by a huge amount while whatever team Yao goes to will have its servers completely bombarded and dead within minutes lol

Here's a better question. What would happen if the Rockets moved to another city? Would you still follow the Rockets or would you root for the new expansion team? Obviously I would root for the Rox, even if they moved to Nashville but I have a feeling that's not the answer a lot of folks would give here.

So the better question is, do you root for the Rockets because you love the team or because you love Houston. :)

I get the analogy. Its the TEAM and its HISTORY.

If the Texans moved out of Houston, it would be like the Grizzlies moving out of Vancouver.
The Oilers moving out of Houston to Nashville was comparable to the Browns moving to Baltimore.

I know I have offended about 5-10 of you hard-core Texan fans. There were just more hardcore Oiler fans. besides all the chokes, they were the FIRST TEAM HERE and they had a deep connection with the community.

The Rockets have a DEEP Connection with the community. So Yes, I'll root for the Taipei Rockets when Stern takes the NBA international.

the people claiming this board would lose significance are either ignorant of what this board was pre-Yao or just plain stupid.

This board got its rep before Yao ever even thought of coming here...the only difference between then and now is the number of members....while the traffic numbers and amount of members may have risen.....the CFBBS was known as the largest and best fansite BEFORE the 2002 draft.

DOnt delude yourselves newer members....you havent made this board better than it was...just noisier.

So true...I love Yao, think he is a stellar person, but man YOF's get on my last nerve. And on a side note when was the T-Mac only fan born...does any one claim to be one. I always thought it was YOF and haters of YOF.
