If we were to trade Yao or T-mac, what package would be acceptable?

We can talk all we want about trading Tmac or Yao and come up with all these trade scenarios. But I don’t think it will ever happen. Tmac makes way too much money for someone who is banged up as bad as he is. There is no team out there that would take on his contract. And plus we forget who Yao’s management is. The freaking Chinese government!!!

    1) Raptors would NEVER do 1st trade, nor would the Rockets.
    2) If you want Dirk on this team, just go ahead and stop being a Rockets fan please, go root for Mavs...

    1) Tmac for those 2 is an ok trade, but I don't see that trade happening + Josh Howard admitting smoking weed, who knows how NBA will suspend him or whatever.
    2) No thanks
    3) GOLDEN STATE WOULD NEVER give up 2 Stars for 1 Aging, injury prone superstar. If we got Bdiddy + Barnes or something for TMac, I would probably take, but yea I don't think that will happen either.

    no way !!!

Melo is a POS who can't play defense and that cries after every non-call...did you see him arguing with the ref during a fast break !?!?!?

he's a great talent but not a "guy" we want on our team...i must admit, Artest would come in here with alot of baggage but i'd much rather have Artest than Melo...

and Camby !?!? well, i doubt he'll have another year like he did this year...i'm just waiting for his knee to finally implode...

the ONLY person in the entire NBA that i would trade straight up for Yao would be Dwight Howard...maaaaybe CP3...

Again, the season's not over. Way to show absolutely no belief in a team that has scrapped out every game of this series so far.

I don't want to trade T-Mac at all, because the Rockets would get less than what he's worth. I prefer just trying him for a championship and letting his contract come off the books in 2010.

But I might as well post this list I came up with:

    T-Mac for:
    -Hedo and Rashard
    -Miller, Artest, (Martin (Brooks included))
    -Geral Wallace & Jason Richardson
    -Bibby, Horford, Johnson (Head/Battier include)
    -Ray Allen, and Rondo
-Prince, and McDyess (or Billups/Rip and McDyess)

    meh

    WOAH !!!

i doubt they would do that, but that would be something incredible

Tracy and Brooks for Artest, Miller and Martin !?!?!

again, i love the fact that we would get Martin and Artest, but i think we need to keep T-Mac WITH Artest...Artest is the guy we need/want...he'll do everything every other Rockets player is AFRAID to do...and he won't be "too tired" to pound the basket with 8 minutes left in the game and get to the fould line...he won't be "too tired" to defend his guy on the perimiter...hell, teams are scared to isolate their guy with Artest...

i want Tracy because he does in fact have phenominal skills, he just doesn't have the killer instict and he can't be relied upon to carry a team...

McSofty's value couldn't get any lower. That would be the main reason the Rockets keep him. Simply because they can't get anything of value in return.

The team needs a thug. I hate to admit it, because I despise those type of players, but that doesn't change the fact that the Rockets desperately need one.

Once again, it pains me to say it but Ron Artest should be priority number one this off season.

he would address our "softness" issues BIG TIME !!!!!

McGrady can just roam around the perimiter, slash to the basket and knock down open jumpers that he will be getting from Alston's/Artest's drives...

Artest is feared by most of the players in the NBA...you think he would have let Boozer knock his tooth out !!??! you think Okur would be slapping his arms !?!?!? HELL NO !!!!

Artest = nasty dude with attitude from hell, an "at will" scorer when he has to be and a defensive machine...he's not only long but that dude is freakin strong...he can run all over the gym and finish at the basket with the best of them...

Artest would bring another side of basketball that has been missed in Houston since VERNON MAD MAXWELL !!!!

i think Tracy, at this point in his career, is flustered by "having to be the guy" that does everything...with Artest in the line-up it would lift about 5,000lbs off of Mac's chest and he will play exceptionally well...

Not saying I'd go for the trade but I could see Paul force feeding alley oops to Landry all day.
