I wouldn't trade Yao Ming unless we can get another 7'6" center who can dunk from 3 point line. Yao is what he is and we just need to learn how to utilize him better, for example if the defense is fronting him again, let him shoot from around free throw line or play as a point center from high post just like Vlade did in Sactown. That will also open up the paint for Scola and Brooks.

LOL! Dunking from the 3 point line... love it. :)

We all know that trading Yao right now is not a possibility. The team right now are built around Yao. Game plans and what not are all based on Yao being the first option. In a few years, maybe. But not anytime soon.

Yao to the Lakers would be fascinating trade. He would be a huge market there. Jerry Buss would be richer than he already is with Yao on the lineup. Les knows that too so that's not happening. ;)

We aren't demanding a trade. Only few are. Houston is too George Bush country? Get out of here. What is that even suppose to mean? Is that a diss to Houston? I'm sure Yao (A soft spoken, quite guy) is going to love L.A. Very positive, it's like the perfect match for each other.

Yao had 2 great coaches that couldn't fix the fronting issues. What makes you think Jackson got it? And mind you, Lakers don't even use the triangle offense as much as they had.

Morey ain't a YOF like you. And not all YOF are the same. There are some that faces reality. NBA is a business. Get this loyalty crap out of here. Hell, Hakeem was traded and Michael Jordan didn't retire as a Bulls. And more than anything, how the hell is it showing loyalty by trading a player? Is Yao demanding a trade?

If we can trade Dream we can trade anyone. But with that being said, I will only trade yao if we get some one like a Dwight Howard in return because a good C is hard to come by this day and age.

So you trade away Yao who is consider one of the best center in the league and demand a double and triple team most night. Not only that, he also bring big dollars to the organization. He also can can attrack other super stars out there or good players to come to Houston. He also give Houston a deadly combo of inside and outside game. Without Yao, Houston become a one dimensional team. Yeah, lets trade Yao.

Many people say, when healthy Yao is..... X thing.

So ask yourself this question, if after last season, when Yao was having surgery, a guy came in and told you, Yao will injure himself during the playoffs.

    Would you trade him??

I think most agree that if Yao cannot stay healthy he shhould be traded, because as great as he is i don´t know a single player that is valuable sitting on the bench.

Yao played 86 games this year including the PO. Don't forget he also play a whole bunch of games in 2008 Olympics after a serious surgery. He plays 33 mins per game and have the most active duty as a centre in the whole league.

His injury this year could be a accident with someone landing on his foot. THis would not have happen if Adelman play Deke more during the regular season so don't be blaming Yao for his injury.

Yao for B. Miller & Salmons/ or Deng would be ideal.

    Things wrong with trading Yao:
    1) Every team that feels they're a center away from a title will not gut their team by giving up quality players for him
    2) Yao, by nature and culture, does not care for the prima donna types like Kobe and LeBron and is not nearly as tolerant of them as teammates as others are, contenders or not. He had to warm up to Artest
    3) Now that Deke is gone, trading Yao would not leave us jack for a center, backup or otherwise
    4) Open court play will win games, but the Lakers proved Sunday that in a half-court game, with all your beef in there, even scrappers like Scola and Landry can't outrebound you. Teams don't win titles without a dominant presence inside... and a team that has one won't let him get away
    But the biggest reason:
LES WON'T HAVE IT. Where else is he going to get an international star that will $ell anything he touches? ANYTHING.
Win or lose Yao is a superstar on several levels and those don't come along every day

You mean trading Yao for KG?

I see KG more as a PF, never see him as a C.

It is a joke fans want Yao to be royal to the city of Houston but as soon as he broke his foot, he is trash and needs to be traded. That just makes me want to puke. If you don't want your best player, I am sure there will be plenty of GMs lining up with their arms wide opened.

Personally I am a big fan of Yao and would love him to retire here, but hell, if he can go to another team where he will be more appreciated with his quality, I am happy for him as well.
