Not exactly a strong year in FA for point guards, right now only Conley and Rondo are rated ahead of Lin. And getting Conley will be extremely difficult. Rondo/Harden pairing just have disaster written all over it.

Absolutely. There is not another fa guard that fits MDA system so great. It will be great.

ya keep denying the fact that Houston only paid him 10.2 mil in two years for his solid performance.

We did have to give up a 1st round pick to dump his contract though.

Lin had a solid year, I expect him to get a similar contract to his old one. 7-10 mill for 3 or 4 years.

you guys made the pick sound like a lottery pick.

Generally a late 1st rd pick is worse than 2nd rd early pick.

I'm just saying if your going to bring up that we only paid Lin 10 mill for his first two seasons, you have to remember that we gave up a pick to dump his last season. Yes it was only a late first, but a late first still has value.

It wasn't worth it in the end because because Bosh re-signed with the heat and we operated above the cap that off season anyways.

Lol at Tinman trying to befriend ThatBoyNick (probably trying to recruit his army of mini-Tinmans for the Jeremy Lin thread), and just being ignored like vapour by ThatBoyNick and Lorenzomax

If Lin continues to shoot better behind the 3pt line and Harden actually plays off the ball I would say it might work. Harden is a better play maker though so I would prefer another point guard, maybe Conley, Lowry (not a realistic option) or Dragic (neither is this player either)?

D'antoni's system won't work with all of the current personnel, we would need players that can shoot the 3 consistently. First off I would definitely resign Beasley to a two year contract, first year maybe 6 million and second year a team option at 6 million.

They only paid him more than any other team in the league and his "solid performance" got him benched and traded for nothing but cap space. So, yeah, there's that.

Why would we sign him to that contact when we have him at the minimum this year?

I appreciate what you post from time to time but Lin could absolutely succeed in Houston under Mike. We currently have awful PG's as we have seen the last 2 years in the playoffs. Can you really argue that Lin wouldn't be an upgrade over Terry?

The fact that you bash people for having an opinion of Lin is laughable. Ultimately your opinion doesn't mean **** just like everyone that would like Lin back. You're just a nobody with some street cred on Clutchfans.

Beasley for 6m?!! Lin can provide so much more for a team than Beasley. If someone pays Beasley 6m, Lin should be worth 9m to 10m.
