The only way Webber comes to ouston is if we make it to the playoffs, and Cato plays good ball....If we put Webber on the Rockets, I say we're much better....look: Rockets with Webber: Cato Webber Anderson Mobley Francis Sac with Webber: Divac (who knows, he might retire) Webber Peja Christie J-Will Divac vs. Cato This year, undetermined...But I'm very sure that next year this matchup will clearly be in our favour.. Webber vs. Webber His family is in Houston. We've made it to the playoffs with MO. Cat,Francis,Cato and Shan are all young and will improve...So, he'll have almost the same chance, but for 2mill less, he'll get to play in his family's city....PLUS, if we sign and trade, we can get him what he wants by trading a player or two........ Peja vs. Shandon Peja wins. Christie vs. Mobley LOL, it's obvious.....Tino... Francis vs. J-Will This year "Obviously Francis" Next year "Who's J-Will?" we have a bench as good as theirs....We have three first round picks, and we'll keep two of 'em..... It all depends on how much Webber wants to be with family... P.S. SandB/Bill, lol, don't take anything personally, I just got a little carried away.... ------------------

Why would Webber come to Houston? We don't have anything any other team has. Sacramento is far ahead of us in maturity and can offer him the maximum amount. NY is a title contender. Why would he play for us other then the fact that people want him to come here? ------------------ "I have a scale at home and it only goes up so far, I love that scale!" - Charles Barkley TNT Studios
I won't say we'll land Webber. Who knows? We might be working on a different deal that would kill our cap space for him. However, IF we have cap space next year, I would think he would look to Houston because he has family connections (not real close, but cousins, which, to me, is better than having mom and dad around because he said playing at home [Detroit for him, natch] has its distractions) and because he loves our guards. He knows he can win in Houston. Steve has been incredible lately. Sure, we lost again to Sacramento, but what was Jason Williams' line? Fairly sorry stats against Steve. Also, let's face it, please don't take this the wrong way, I think a young black man would prefer Houston over Sacramento (no disrespect to Sacramento). That's how we landed Shandon, a native Atlantan. We've definitely got a more urban thing going on in Houston. Of course, Webber might find Houston has too many distractions, as did DC (so he once said, if I remember him correctly from some article I read). That said, let's see if we have a major deal going down soon before we worry about Webber. ------------------
