I'll keep my sig for the next season even if we do trade Steve. I don't think the Rockets will. The playoffs have warrented him another chance. He might not have the court vision, but he can adjust or the team should find players to adjust to that. The way he's playing, I wouldn't resign him to an extension though. The damage he takes would probably make him injury prone when he's older.
It's Ok. if we don't trade Steve Francis!! We just need to be prepared for more of the same, season in and season out. Before he gets too old and is still able to play a decent game we need to get the best trade possible.Every season that goes by and Steve is here he is an expensive misfit. He can't pass, he cant play defense,he isnt a playmaker and he's too small to play the two Guard. He is a good open court one on one player and did well under Rudy T's system or the lack of same, before Yao Ming.
people dont relize this. They keep mentiong his heart and hustle, which he does, but his skills are lacking.

I'll stroke yours if you stroke mine, you johnny come lately fans crack me up, y'all don't remember chise was a hell of a player before JVG and Yao, you will see if he is traded. Yao needs to realize his role and accept his riksmitslogy and then this team will truly thrive no matter who you surround him with but if you do not put a legitimate scorer/player who can carry a team with Yao "role player" Ming and you ask Ming to be the man prepare for the let down.
I whole heartedly disagree, for one major reason. SF3 was the starting point for the Western All Stars. He puts butts into seats. Don't forget that the NBA is a business.
SF days was mainly during the time w/o the ZONE. And even then he turned it over like crazy and cant pass.
I'll agree that before the zone were his better days but disagree that the zone is what caused his problems this year, defering to an inferior player has got to mess with anyone's mind and game.
I don't know if taking on Hill is a big deal. If Hill doesn't step on the court, I believe that the Magic can have him removed from the cap? Or his salary can be split up and extended over a longer period of time? I thought I read that somewhere. So if Hill comes back, T-Mac is happy. If he doesn't, they get him removed, they let T-Mac walk and they are back under the cao and able to sign a MAX free agent with lots of draft picks to go too. Hinrich won't go anywhere, I guarantee that. He si the only bright spot from their season. IMO, it doesn't matter what it takes to get T-Mac... if there's anything outside of Yao that can get us T-Mac, get it done. He will be more than happy playing with Yao. Forget the rest of the team, we'll figure it out later. We need to pull a 3-way, and I think the best way to do it is to trade MoT to Boston for Chris Mihm and Marcus Stewart (both expiring contracts). Boston are trying to become an offensive juggernaut, and MoT fits that bill, while the ONLY value the players in the trade have is their expiring contract. They get a solid starting PF who can help out Pierce BIG TIME. We then turn around and trade Chris Mihm, Marcus Stewart, the TE, and Francis for T-Mac and Hill. They get a very solid building block in Francis, they let Hill go, he'll never be worth the MAX again, and get back nothing but expiring contracts. They get to rebuild from scratch. They have a lottery pick, and attach that piece to the puzzle. They also own several picks, and suddenly, tons of caproom after one season of Steve and their high pick playing together. The most important thing this summer will be getting value for MoT, it can change everything.
Unless, we don't get T-Mac, SF should stay. As bad as a season he just had, he still managed to end it decently. I'm not making excuses or anything, but no one has had to alter their game like SF has, you can see him struggling trying to make the right play, he was trying too hard. He said it himself, "they gets nervous playing under JVG sometimes." Other than bad shooting and questionable plays, SF panned out a decent season. Still gave a 16-5-6 season, not a lot of players do. He had 5 players in double figures night in night out, I don't remember when the last time that happened, too bad those 5 were the only ones that scored for us. He even led the Rox in rebounding in the playoffs, even over the 7'6" Chinese guy in the paint.
Yes yes!! More T-mac talk! T-mac T-mac T-mac T-mac T-mac!! Thank god, for a moment there I felt I was the only one babbling out reasons why T-mac would be a perfect fit here.
drexler, barkley, pippen, francis. If only CD weren't so soft he could have traded for any of these players
