you're right, philly getting to the super bowl didn't work for them, and minnesota perinially in the playoffs, and one game from the superbowl moss's rookie year didn't work out either, especially if cunningham wouldn't have folded. actually to is the one guy who I would stay away from because he will throw teamates and coaches and everyone else under the bus. moss's problems are a bit overblown, he plays on a bad team right now with no qb. he still managed 1,000 yards two seasons ago.
...they got to the SuperBowl in a year where TO missed numerous games to injury. They got there in spite of him, not because of him. They had gone to 2 or 3 NFC title games before he even arrived. Not as familiar with Minny, so I could certainly be wrong here. Me, too. Perhaps. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. I have to admit I've gotten my impressions of Moss from the media, and that's not always the most accurate source from which to arrive at an opinion.
I don't think you realize the value of draft picks in the NFL. Nobody is going to give up a second round pick for David Carr. Look what Detroit got for Joey Harrington. I'd say we are lucky if we get a 4th round pick and no players. If we end with a 6th I won't be surprised.
Moss for Carr would be a steal. Moss is one of the best all-time recievers when he is willing to play. Andre and Moss on the same field.
raiders just signed another qb http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2808358 ALAMEDA, Calif. -- The Oakland Raiders have signed quarterback Josh Booty, the former prep star who has been out of football since 2003 and has never thrown a pass in the NFL. Booty was one of the nation's top high school quarterbacks in 1993 when he decided to play baseball instead of football. He spent five years with the Florida Marlins but played only 13 games at the major league level. In two seasons at LSU, Booty threw for 3,951 yards and 24 touchdowns and was taken by Seattle in the sixth round of the 2001 draft. Acquired off waivers by Cleveland later that year, Booty spent parts of three seasons with the Browns. Booty joins Andrew Walter as the only quarterbacks on the Raiders' roster. The team cut ties with last year's starter, Aaron Brooks, and third-stringer Marques Tuiasosopo signed a one-year deal with the Jets. Oakland has the No. 1 pick in next month's draft and could select quarterback JaMarcus Russell of LSU. Booty's brother, John David Booty, was the quarterback last season at Southern California, where new Raiders coach Lane Kiffin was an assistant. The team also recently signed defensive backs Chris Johnson and B.J. Ward.
