David Lee is not better than Amar'e...need to slow down a second. Also a lot of Knicks fans don't have positive things to say about him, just visit any one of their boards and you'll see they don't think he's some budding all-star waiting to blossom. I agree on that...I don't think he's even close to being on the level of Bosh...Or Amar'e...or Boozer for that matter. I'm talking about when David Lee is matched up against Elite PFs...he looks pretty ordinary to me.
Deadly contract, but Okafor would give Houston an elite defensive frontcourt, one that would be good enough for a ring. Too bad it will never happen.
Why do people think that David Lee would provide a solution at PF? He cannot create his own shots and is a weak inside defender. Didn't Bogut just drop 20-20 on him two nights ago?
Uh, contract? The dude can play defense like it's nobody's business. In two or three seasons if Yao can stay healthy, Okafor could help shore up the inside with his rebounding and shot blocking/changing ability. He is not a dominant offensive player, maybe a third option, and his FT sucks. However, he is not turnover prone and he can hit close mid-range shots consistently. He is a beaslty offensive rebounder. If Yao comes back healthy two seasons from now, with a healthy Martin and Ariza, the next thing the Rockets would need is a dominant PG...like Deron Williams.
I live in Oakland and catch many Warriors' games. Randolph is an enigma and has the chance to be very expensive fools gold, aka Stromile Swift "the early years" or on the upside a poor man's Odom. Still kinda too early to tell as he had many up and down performances this year before getting hurt. Inconsistency due to is youth, Monta "the Black Hole" Ellis who rarely shares the ball, and Nelly's gimmick rotations and head games. Word out here is that Randolph is not professional and doesn't practice hard etc. That is why the Ws shopped him early this year as part of a salary dump with Maggette. I personally think he needs consistent PT and to get way from Nelly who is wayyyyyy past his coaching prime. As far as performance, his jumper is inconsistent (but can improve), he is an above average ball handler, court vision is very average, above average shot blocker, average rebounder, but needs to bulk up.
The one guy who would be perfect for us is Jefferson from Timerwolves. But i would think that is a pipe dream
If Morey can take Jared Jeffries' contract and flip it for a potential star player, after squeezing so much out of NY just to agree to take that contract in the first place, well, that would prove this is Dork Elvis's world and we're just living in it.
Just don't think he's that great, not on the level of Amar'e. When do you see Lee getting doubled? The dude puts up his numbers but it's more Zach Randolph-ish then Chris Bosh-ish. Otherwise, I'm really curious why so many Knick fans don't even care about the guy leaving.
I don't think he is good for Rockets.I think he is a C and I don't think he can play well with Yao. What's more, Timerwolves won't trade him in several years.
When did Bosh come out and admit that he quits on his team every time things get tough? While T-Mac is throwing his teammates under the bus and saying he's never won because he hasn't had a teammate like Shaq or Duncan, Bosh is at least saying he believes he can be and wants to be that number one guy.
look at the stats. The suns aren't a great team either. Knick fans know that he will be a S&T guy so they will get something great for him. Don't be surprised if they sign and trade him for a great package. and he's younger and less injury prone than Amar'e.
