Yes sir, Do not want. So are you pro Bosh then? I wasn't at the start of this year, but have really watched him this year and think he is ready to take the next step. He has become much more aggressive at both ends of the floor and I believe he really wants to earn that superstar label.
All signs point to adding a superstar PF. I wonder however if Morey would settle for Boozer if he cant get his hands on Amare or Bosh. Im not sure I would, because I hate the guy, but he would be an upgrade. Also, what happens if Wade or Johnson say they would like to play here. What happens to Martin? Would they still commit the resources to a redundant position? Im not going to lie, I am very excited to see what kind of magic Morey whips up in the offseason.
My first priority if I'm Morey is to go all out and try to lure Lebron to come here. We can use that as leverage to possibly work out a deal to try to do a sign and trade for either Bosh or Stoudemire. Out of all the potentional free agents, I would definitely take Wade outta the mix. Dude is injury prone and an accident away from calling it a career. My gut feeling is we sign Stoudemire. I maybe wrong, but we have been trying to pry him away from the Suns for at least 2 years now and with Morey, he always gets what he wants!
If either Wade or Johnson want to be here and you can't get the 4 then you absolutely sign one. If you can play Ariza and Battier together then surely you can play Martin and Wade or Johnson
That's something I've been wondering about...I'm thinking if it is Wade then maybe Martin goes to the bench, he'd still get a lot of minutes he'd be like Manu or Terry. But still...if it is Wade I'd still take Bosh over Wade...Only because of positional need and I think Kevin Martin is one of the best scorers in the NBA when healthy...
Heres another thought, what if Rudy Gay wanted to come here. Would you commit max money to him via SnT? A Brooks/Martin/Gay back court might be the worst defensive combo in history. I only bring it up because Houston going after Bosh is transparent at this point, and Morey ALWAYS surprises us. with his track record, I almost expect him to reel in two tier 2 guys.
Maybe it's sampling error, but the few, random times I've seen A. Randolph play, he's looked like an athletic freak-- so much so that his IQ would not seem to matter: simply get him the ball and watch him dunk on dem fools.
1st Choice= Bosh 2nd Choice= Amare 3rd Choice= David Lee 4th Choice= Boozer Add any of these and we are a top 3 seed!! Anything else and we are back to a 5th/6th seed!
How do you all feel about David Lee? I ammmm a huge fan of his game. For some reason, I like him to complement yao more than bosh or amaare. Am I missing something? Maybe his D? But we did go for amare...
I'll take D. LEE over Amar'e. No bull. He works hard on the court. He's younger, rebounds better and has REAL range. He also plays team basketball and looks like he's not an EGO maniac. they avg. the same ppg.
I'm sure he has several, all centered around variables we cannot begin to fathom, Dork Elvis being deeper than Jacob's Well. Whatever he comes up with, absent what I agree is the obvious first target, Mr. Bosh, will put us into a frenzy. The guy is clearly a master of that. With all due respect, I ardently disagree. Bosh would be damn near perfect in Adelman's system, IMO. If we somehow managed to retain Scola, unlikely (because he looks like an obvious part of a trade for Bosh, at least to me), what a combo at the 4! When we're wanting a change of pace when Yao sits, which he'll probably be doing a lot more of next season, I'm drooling about Bosh at the 5, Luis at the 4, with Martin, Brooks/Lowry, and Ariza. Heck, I'm exhausted even thinking about it. Opponents would be run into the ground. This summer is going to be as much of a trip as the deadline turned out to be, in my opinion. Just wait and see.
Yeah, David Lee seems like the best overall fit. Do a SnT with New York for him since they're not bringing him back anyway; they'll do it in a heartbeat to get back their draft picks. That way we don't have to give up any other pieces. If we sign and trade Bosh, we're giving up at least a Budinger/Hill type, and possibly even Aaron Brooks or a sign and trade of Lowry. Lee is averaging 20 points per game on 15 shots, which is nice efficiency, needless to say. He's a great rebounder. He's active and plays good defense. I'd be big in favor of this because we can probably do it without losing any rotation players. If we want to win now we need that supporting cast.
I couldn't agree more on all accounts. Bosh imo is a perfect fit, and I believe it would catapult the Rockets to a top 2 seed in the west. Here is to hoping Morey can work a little more magic
PF seems to be the obvious upgrade target, but don't discount PG if Chis Paul or Deron Williams (has expressed unhappiness with Utah). I would like Williams as a Rocket.... Then we can use AB off the bench (our Bobby Jackson I suppose). Send Kyle Lowry, our 2010 lottery pick and a 2012 first rounder (we will have 2) plus filler. Yao/Hayes/DA Scola/Hill/Jeffries Ariza/Battier Martin/Budinger Williams/Brooks
*Should note: The above scenario only works if New York strikes out in free agency. Which they will. And Walsh will be begging Morey to turn back the clock on the McGrady trade and get back his picks. Morey will only be too happy to oblige if the return is D. Lee. Jeffries + Battier + New Yorks picks back to sign and trade him. Voila. Championship contender.
