Born on the east coast but have lived in Houston, Denver, South Lake Tahoe and now San Francisco (Hayes Valley neighborhood). Regularly visit family in NYC but wouldn't live there.

If money was no object I'd still reside in SF, but I'd own a winter cabin in Squaw Valley, CA.

These are just the dumbest stereotypes. I've been living in California for 2+ years and have yet to hear anyone utter the words "chakra" or "paradigm". Shocker, the people here are no more narcissistic or self-involved than those I've known in anywhere else I've lived- Texas, Hawaii, Maryland, or Montana.

Great weather, food, beaches and women. Very laid back culture.

If money weren't an issue I'd go with somewhere between Santa Cruz and Monterrey or San Diego and LA.

San Juan, PR is an amazing place. The favorite of all the islands. Definitely visit if you get a chance or are near Miami.
