If two guys are kissing in front of you, are you weirded out?

I voted yes.

It is not weirded out so much, it is just something that is unexpected I suppose...something I do not see very much. We are desensitized to hetero kissing and even female-female, which is glorified practically in movies ect. Like others have said, I hate the argument of 'I don't like any of it!!' I suppose you hate basically all TV shows and movies..and my god what a sex scene in a romance flick must do to you!

The difference here, since we are all referring to Michael Sam obviously, is that this wasn't part of a script; this was real. From this angle I can get the keep it down argument somewhat. The stage of when this happened was definitely a new image.

 

I don't think we should be telling anyone they shouldn't be weirded out about anything. People are entitled to their beliefs as long as they dont infringe on others. There are people who are weirded out by anyone kissing.

I am weirded out watching anyone kiss that I dont find somewhat attractive, whether its a man, woman, gay, straight or someone letting their pets lick them on the mouth.

 

If I saw Jadaveon Clowney lick cake off his girlfriends face after getting drafted, I would be weirded out.

 

We should start another poll asking if people are weirded out by 2 girls kissing. I don't think we will get the same "Oh I'm against any kind of PDA" responses.

 

I once saw two guys with beard kissing each other in subway station. Not pretty.

And political correctness can go to hell. I am really sick of this *****. I get it, gay people need equal rights and I agree, let them get married. You just don't have to promote it all the time.

 

I wouldn't say weirded out just surprising because it's not that common. I still look back when I see an interracial couple even though I'm the product of one. I don't find it weird or gross or appalling just surprising because of the rarity. I wish it happened more often though so we all could get over it.

 

It's disgusting, plain and simple.

I watched the ESPN video earlier today. The first to kiss, I like Ok, not weird. Then they had like 4 more and got grossed out. It's okay to be happy and emotional, but most guys don't make out with their gfs like Michael Sam did.

Also, I find it insulting to the sport and the other 300 drafted that a scrub like Sam gets so much coverage when he's likely to be practice squad material.

1. How do we know Sam will be a scrub? We don't, he could get on the field and surprise us all. We're all projecting that he will be practice squad material or cut but we do not know. There are no guarantees in the draft. Tom Brady, Shannon Sharpe, Bart Starr, Deacon Jones, TJ Houshmandzadeh, Jay Ratliff, Marques Colston, Matt Birk, Seth Joyner, Clyde Simmons, Donald Driver, Terrell Davis, Richard Dent.....the list goes on. What do the people on this list have in common? They were drafted in the 6th round or later but all had VERY successful and sometimes Hall of Fame NFL careers.

2. It's historic. I'm sure people had similar thoughts when Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier in baseball. He'll never amount to much. This is a white man's game. Why is he getting all the attention when we have stars like Ted Williams and Joe DiMaggio out there? I won't put Sam's situation in the same realm because he has many things on his side that Robinson did not at the time but that doesn't mean it is an unhistoric event.

3. I don't know if Sam had other intentions or not with his actions, he could have I don't know but he could have been caught up in the moment as well. I will say that people react in different ways. Not many guys bawl like a baby but Clowney and Sam did. Some guys hug everybody around them, some of them kiss their moms, girlfriends, wives, hell some of them kiss their brother. So what? There are lots of different emotions going on and people handle it differently. Maybe that guy has been there for Sam in ways we can't imagine, I don't know, do you?

There is one simple solution though. If you don't like the first one, the second one, the replays or anything else then turn off the channel, listen to it on the radio or read it on the Internet or newspaper. He's not the first one, he's just the first one who is open with his sexuality and think about this, he probably won't be the last one so some of you need to start getting used to it or find different methods of obtaining your coverage.

 

To the person that gave me rep saying I am "wrong" when I say that people will not care if two men are kissing in 5-10 years, and site racism..... I would argue that most people are not disgusted by minorities walking down the floor, or drinking from a water fountain or marrying.... there are exceptions, but the vast majority of people just don't give a damn.

 

again the delicious hypocrisy from the left is that Michael Sam is their new favorite son and they are the first to deride Tim Tebow for honoring God publicly.

I think they are two seperate issues. Christians are not really opressed in this country and homosexuals have been.

Still I agree with you, it was odd seeing so many leftists foaming at the mouth over Tebow.

Ultimately Tebow was a terrible failure as a football player, but no reason for the level of hate he received.

Honorig God in public is not ok with some people just like two men kissing isn't so were the hypocrisy in that.

 

Did people deride him because of his religion and practices or was it because he received way too much attention for the type of football player he was? I know that is the reason I didn't like him, I couldn't care less about his religion or expressions thereof unless he was trying to force them upon somebody else which as far as I know he did not.

I know Sam could end up being the same way, we don't know yet, but what he is doing is much more historic than anything Tebow did. I still don't understand why he (Tebow) did and does garner so much attention. I get it with Sam, although I don't like the attention he (Sam) is getting either, it is something new and basically unheard of but athletes were praising God or showing their religious beliefs way before Tebow was during his time playing.

 

What about if 2 men were holding hands? Or hugging each other affectionately? Does that weird you out?

 

The real question should be, If two guys are kissing in front of you, are you masterbaiting?
