Why do we have this mother****ing thread every month? I'm sick of repeating myself so... Yong Jeezy Iz da GRATIST RAPR OF AWL TIEM!M!!@!@!@!212121221!!!1!1
i think it's easily big. he had some of best flows ever. tupac did too, but not like Big.... i cant believe someone voted for 50cent or snoop where is LUPE!!!!!!!????? AND NAS?
2Pac. He would probably have won an Oscar by now. He was a good actor. He would probably collaborate with some of the artists of today like the p***y Cat Dolls, Nelly Furtado, JoJo, etc.
Tupac and Jojo... That would be like attending a rally hosted by Martin Luther King and Daisy Fuentes
the disrespect for big is amazing big was ahead of his time...some of the greatest flows came from biggie. ask jayz.....how many of biggies flows are gonna come out his fat lips?
and how many times are going to quote Ether by Nas. Lets give Biggie a west coast background. Now lets give Pac the best producer in the game at the time + east coast bias, The debate would have been changed to "Was Biggie even good enough to hold Pac's dirty laundry"
Tupac! Everytime I hear those rockets hate-speech from idiots like BSPN and Rosen, I think of this song: Don't settle for less - even the genius asks-es questions Be grateful for blessings Don't ever change, keep your essence The power is in the people and politics we address Always do your best, don't let the pressure make you panic And when you get stranded And things don't go the way you planned it Dreamin of riches, in a position of makin a difference Politicians and hypocrites, they don't wanna listen If I'm insane, it's the fame made a brother change It wasn't nuttin like the game It's just me against the world Me against the world
I don't think Pac would still be rapping if he were alive...He was trying to get out of the game before he was killed, which is why there are so many conspiracy theories that he faked his death to get away from it all. He was so talented in other areas that he would be doing other things. Biggie would probably still be rapping but just like Jay-z, X, Nas and other great rappers, he too would become repetative. Hip/hop-rap is at its best when the artist is hungry and actually living the life and can directly relate to pain and struggle they rap about. Once they become millionaires who let studio heads manipulate the art is when they lose steam and fabricate albums. It's no longer from the heart and becomes stale.
i thought about NAS, but I wanted to compare Pac/Biggie to current artists that are more mainstream. All of those dudes listed above make way more $$$ than NAS nowadays. Street Dreams are made of these.
I hope you are not saying Biggie was living a life in poverty i love his songs but he grew up in a middle class family with a mum who is a school teacher....he doesnt Rap about "himself" even though he wants to make it seem that way to get street cred, its more of an alter ego thing TUpac was no gangsta either, but rappers needs to portray themselves this way to sell albums and I cant belive you left out Nas, this guy has being reinventing his songs alot and he is one of the best if not the best Rapper/Mc out there, no one else is even close (exaggeration added) and when I call him the best i am judging his lyrics (both the flow + the meanings attached to it) and the music
