If trading, and plan on going even younger, what veterans do we keep?

Thanks for the breakdown - it makes more sense this way. But as i look at the figures, it comes down to Baron Davis' ability to play. He hasn't played well in more 2 years now and his quickly declining. So while it seems like the contract situation looks similar, you're not going to get the same production.

This sort of trade would be a steal for the Clippers, not us IMO.

If we were to try to make that sort of deal, Jordan and/or maybe Aminu would definitely need to be included.

    How about:

    Lowry
    Williams
    Iggy
    Brand
    Hill

If Philly is in the market to trade Iggy, someone will have to take Brand's contract too IMO. We can use a guy like Brand - a PF, yes, but can clog the paint and plays above avg defense, and is taller than 6'6. He's quietly having a very solid year.

It's a nice idea, but there's nothing to indicate that the Clippers are even remotely interested in trading Gordon. Although the Clippers are frugal when it comes to spending in free agency, their trading history is pretty strong. They rarely get ripped off on trades. In fact, they're actually one of the better ball clubs when it comes to making trades.

They know that Gordon is young and that he's getting paid very little in comparison to his production...

I agree - it's a long shot and a gamble at that but it's based on an owner who hates one of his players so much that he sits courtside just to heckle him. I agree a rational owner wouldn't do that trade, but would a rational owner heckle one of his own players? If Sterling made a "get rid of him at all costs" demand on Davis, you would have to figure the Clippers would have to package someone good to get someone to take him off their hands.

...ya, I think your right. It probably would take on other player to make sense from a production standpoint or maybe a future first round pick if you believe the Clippers are a perpetual lottery team. Picking up Jordan would be ideal for Houston but I can't see the Clippers giving up two young players to get rid of Baron but who knows. Maybe if Baron puts on another 10lbs Sterling will get desperate.
