In my opinion, Chandler was nice yesterday. He didn't hack and push and foul like other players usually do to Yao. He wasn't very physical. Bulls seemed soft..not a team that bumps around and grinds it out. I like their team though, and I still think Yao is good.

everything should be OK when tmac is back, i see this year yao havent had any easy shot, he has to work for all of his points, no wide open free dunk or easy layup...this will change when tmac is back on the floor..things will be better..keep your head up..when tmac comes back on tuesday. give them a week or 2 to sync in and we will be rolling again

I disagree. He has learned how to whine like a baby after every foul called against him. Hmm...I wonder where he learned that from?

Yao is bored with his role. It's always fighting for position, deal with multiple defenders, pull a post move, and setting useless screens. I can't help but think that one would be bored playing this way game after game. To compound the problem, there's multiple offensive glitches that takes fun out of the already diminished fun of endless post plays, such as fronting, lack of outside shooting, entry passes and hassle from the refs. Yao Robo Ming has become a victim of his height, playing a game that's not much fun, yet he has to assert himself with the leader status. So we see flashes of him asserting himself because of pride, but a shortage of it because of lack of fun. The premere big men in this league all enjoy more freedom playing with their face toward the basket, not just with their backs. Basketball is a game of motion and interaction, and mere post play deemphasizes both.

I definitely think this is part of the answer. Ming is complex and the situation is complex.

Actually, coaches usually tell the player to wait for the wing player to cut through before make the move. This is because the wing defender always slacks back after the ball goes to the post, make it very hard for the post player to put the ball on the floor. If Yao can get the ball close enough to the basket, that he can just turn and shoot, otherwise, he needs to wait for the wing players to bring the defender to the other side.
