If TMac wins multiple championships, can he possibly reach Jordan's status?

Jordan had a very good sidekick in Pippen. One player can't carry a team. Haven't the rules changed since then? Don't you think that zone defense has any bearing on one era of basketball vs. the present era?

Not in any particular order...
1.) win a lot of rings
2.) make his team better (meaning without him, they are garbage)...I mean Lebron and T-mac have fairly good supporting casts, mainly centers (Z and Yao). Jordan had ... longley, Wennington?
3.) hit game winner after game winner after game winner
4.) Take over game after game after game
5.) Have a driving force in their lives...I think T-mac has that with so many deaths we've heard about. Lebron...i haven't heard anything (could be mistaken though).

Legends, for some reason, always seem to be based on some sort of struggle and hardship. Jordan had the death of his father that one championship year. Also that one game where he was just about dead and played...crazy...

That pretty much sums it up. You think basketball, you think Jordan, Magic, Bird, etc...but Jordan always seems to come first and foremost in your mind...there's a reason for that.

I really do hope T-Mac reaches that kind of status in his career that is still young...that's the amazing thing.

I really do think that has to do with the time we live in will they be saying that 20 or 30 years down the line, or was it something the media has adopted till the next "GREAT ONE" comes? Also I think this guy could say something about it...

Lets see if he can win one championship before we talk about comparing his impact on the Rox to Hakeem or his impact on the whole NBA to Jordan.

If we're talking about great impact players in the NBA now to Jordan we might as well be comparing AI to Jordan since AI at least got his team to one championship game something T-Mac has yet to do.
