If this Rockets/Suns deal is true and gets done we will need a veteran/true PG.
Can you imagine a lineup of Barbosa/Artest/Amare/Yao with young or rookie PG on the court. Yao would only get 2 shots a quarter, because he would be the only one not complaining about shots. It will remind me of Drexler/Barkley/Dream with Matt Maloney as the PG, and Drexler and Barkley always bickering with each other about shots, or taking bad shots.
So if this deal goes down I think we have to pursue a veteran PG that can distribute the ball to make everyone happy. Someone like KIDD...
No matter who you put on this team, people will complain that Yao doesn't get enough shots. There's one constant there ... guess who it is.
I feel this could and should have been posted in the huge thread on the topic, but I have to ask... Why would Barbosa be starting at SG? It would obviously be either Lowry or Barbosa at PG with Artest at SG (given that we have Artest back).
We would have a strong front court with Amare + Yao + Artest, but I always though our main weaknesses revolve around the guards position. PG + SG we have some weakness.
can we lock this please. my internet sucks at time and opening a new thread that was basically a reply to the one I just read before hand kinda sucks damn 1960 area internet
