Rockets vs Suns 1995 Semifinals Game 7: Kiss of death from Elie

McGrady's 13 pts in 35 seconds to beat the Spurs

 

For me it would probably be a pretty obscure game especially for a Rockets fan -

It was Cleveland Cavs vs Orlando Magic Game 1.

I was supporting the Magic as I hate Lebron and everyone had picked the Cavs to reach the finals. It was expected. First half went perfectly for the Cavs with Mo Williams hitting a 3/4th court shot to give the Cavs a huge lead. But the Magic somehow fought back within the team concept and just overwhelmed Lebron as they had so many options. In the end Shard Lewis hit a 3 to give the Magic the lead.


The whole team missing its 2nd/3rd best player (Jameer) but really playing as a team and beating the favored superstar really resonated with me. Lebron's series against the Magic was probably the greatest individual series I've seen live. And yet the Magic team still won.

 

Utah vs. Houston, Game 6 1997 Western Conference Finals. The bear hug game. I have been bitter ever since. ****ing Jazzholes.

 

1986?? WC Finals Game 5. Sampson with the touch shot to knock the Showtime Lakers out of the playoffs and Twin Towers advance to meet Bird and the Celtics.

 

Vince Carter missing the game winning shot game 7 vs Iverson's 76ers.. That was the first time I felt really really sad and disappointed that my basketball team had lost.

I couldn't get over it for a couple of days.

 

I don't know what game can define me, but my favorite game that I attended was the Tmac 13 in 35.
