WTF does energy have to do with elections and what the world is telling us to do. Why don't they change their crappy country to actually have elctions before telling us how to use a right they are not even strong enough to get for themselves.

If the US wasn't the most interventionist country on earth, I might share your opinion.

Again, they're concerned for legitimate reasons. The outcome of this election will impact their lives. For some civilians in the middle of war zones or that have a US target on their backs, it could even impact their lives even more than ours. They have every right to voice their opinions. And instead of cupping our ears, we'd be wise to listen.

It was in the 90s. I'm not so sure anymore. Our "right" moved well to the left during this decade, and while they haven't done much to show us, I think that our left is moving with them.

I think you are wrong to say that the rest of the world isn't allowed to have there opinon.

First, have you ever heard of freedom of mind?

Secondly, The USA is the most powerfull country in the world, and each step you guys take have a repercussion on millions of people. Don't forget you have many many many companies implanted in the world and that decisions you take influence them and therefore have and impact on countries in which they are. Just look what is happenning today. I'm not saying it's your fault, but Bush did make some mistakes that everybody is paying today, you guys the most. War on terror has pushed the oil barrol up, and has created an anti-muslim spirit.

Thirdly, beeing the most powerfull economic country, there is an old european proverb that says:"Everything always comes from the West." And your economic crisis has desperately effected us. Millions of people in the world have lost there job because of what is happening in the usa, millions of people have lost there funds and stocks. So yes, we are concearned.

Forthly, don't you guys care of what the rest of the world think of you? I lived in the us and was always envied by europeans before. Since the Bush-era all of these feelings have disappeared, no one believes in the American Dream anymore... The world know see's americans as fat idiots who are just sheep manipulated by fear and media. Face-it, your choices to elect Bush have changed the world and has made it ****, Bush made a mess and doesn't give a **** because he made some money during his time as president. Bush is leaving America in financial crap, allies crap, reputation crap, and many more. So yes we do have our word, sorry if you don't think so. I probably know more about your country than the average American, don't try to question me on that, I lived 10 years in Houston and am actually doing a University thesis on American propaganda during Bush's presidency. I know this is Texas, but you guys should really think when you vote this time, because its going to be very very important. Bush=McCain, don't forget that. Maybe Obama is inexperienced, but atleast he is bringing something new to this country who needs it more than ever!

Lastly, the USA have a great influence in organisations such as NATO and the UN, so yes its important to know who the hell is taking all these decisions. We are trying to build peace in the world, how can we do that if we all stay in our country and do whatever we want. We have to start talking again between nations and not be egoist. Because the USA where egoist the last 8 years it has put the whole world in ****. And don't try to tell me that what i'm saying is bull crap because you know it isn't, everything is interconnected. Just when you think about it, when an american company goes down, it goes down with all its sub-companies, and most of those are in other countries, so non-americans loose there jobs, and that effects the country in which they live.

I hope that through my post I have been able to change some peoples minds. I know Obama might not be experienced and maybe he never used a gun, wow, big deal, look at Bush, he went to Nam and sucked as president. Then you might say:"OMG, he's Black!" Hello people, welcome to the 21st century. You guys cheer for blacks in sports such as BASKETBALL, you listen to Black music and wear black-peoples clothes. So why are you so afraid of having a black president. Obama will change your reputation to the world. In Europe, Obama has 80% at the moment against 14% for McCain and 6% undecided. Why do Europeans prefer Obama? Because we don't have as much media pressure as you guys have.
So please, go out there and vote, for whoever just vote, it's your country, and please don't make the mistakes you made in 2000.

    Peace

Global Warming? Ring a bell? Do you guys think of the future of the world. Bush has been acting just like that. He had stock options in defense weapons and war in Irak was good for his personal bank account. What did he care about what would happen to the world. I'm happy however that Americans are now standing up, and thanks to people like Al Gore and Obama who can take there ideas to the White House.
I hope the Americans continue to stand up and make a change.

Obama=Change.(It can't get badder than now)
    McCain=Keep things like before.

This is correct, IMO. I think the old adage that the european right would make the american right faint is no longer accurate.

I think it is the other way around now especially when it comes to fiscal conservatism.

I am surprised that more people from the Baltic states are for Obama than McCain - the racism here is unreal.

At least they only come on forums telling you you are stupid, not come on war planes and bomb Washington and hang your president and then tell you that you are stupid and what they did was for the well-being of all you stupid people.

If non-US voters even rise above the superficial, their interest would be primarily foreign policy -- and given the disaster that's been GWB it's not surprising they'd like the new guy better. Plus he's pretty impressive in his own right.

Domestic and economic policy don't affect them. And they're not bogged down by details.

So,,,,yeah...the average Spaniard or Frenchman has no real reason to not like Obama.

If McCain...somehow...gets elected, foreign leaders will do whatever is in their country's best interest. No-one is going to shun the US because of George's legacy.

Not that this is really an issue, Looks like US voters like Obama plenty too!

I'm sorry I just had to respond to this even if it's a little off topic.

So you think that rest of the countries in the world aren't democracies? See this is one of the things that was perpetuated by the Bush administration with regards to the war on terror and the world view on America in general. It's that the reason that countries don't favour the US as much is because they are somehow jealous of the liberties Americans have. That couldn't be further from the truth.

I live in a so-called Third World country and we probably have too much freedom rather than a lack of it. The problem that many countries have with America, I believe, is that they meddle in other country's affairs way too much. And they do it mainly when it is beneficial to them yet claim it is some sort of humanitarian effort.

Also, as evidenced by your post, a vast majority of Americans view the US as superior and the rest of the world as "crappy". I'm not saying that America isn't the most powerful and richest nation on earth but there are far too many Americans who sing the song that America is the "greatest nation on earth" when they haven't even ventured outside the US.

America can be great without the rest of the world being "crappy".

Dude, what century do you live in?

Have you been watching the world stock markets? All countries have major vested interests in other countries.

    No country lives in isolation.

The day they invented airplanes that can drop bombs 3,000 miles away was the day that we care what they think and visa-versa. Since then, they invented other things too like the Internet and stock markets and NAFTA and little stuff like that.
