Home cooking has been the norm for some time - which is why it was all the more ridiculous that Baron and Jax got themselves tossed. I've got a really good friend who constantly flakes on plans. Everyone we know gets driven to the point of insanity by it. My take is - if you know something's going to happen, why waste your energy getting mad about it when all you had to do was adjust for it? If you know he's a flake, aren't YOU the dumb one for not planning around that?

The Warriors getting into a rage for not getting calls in Dallas was stupid. You stole homecourt, so ride with it. Sometimes the refs won't let you win and I've yet to see a player tantrum EVER changes things.

Warriors get to have the favorable whistles now and they need to focus on taking advantage of their homestand.

exactly; they need to weather the storm with better composure. I think Donnie will have them a lot more poised in their first game home.

You think Barnes is a nut case. What has he done? I hope you are not talking about him swiping at the ball and Terry and Diop got their panties in a wad because of it. They will have much more composure at their home court and yes there were some very bad calls in that game but they did call the game bad for both teams at least. I think the Mavs my lose their composure on Golden St's turf. You are right about them not being smart or playing smart right now but Baron Davis is better than what he did last night. His TO's were horrible as well as his fouls. He will turn it around in Game 3 because he is a pretty well respected player.

Yes, that was an amazing play and a very good call but of course Mavs fans and players wined about that one as usual. It was clear as day he got right in front of him and Howard put a knee in Baron's chest. Dallas fans just don't understand basketball very well but then again their players never commit a foul so they boo because their player is mad. I know all home crowds are like this during playoffs but they are the worst.

I understand your point, but losing a winnable playoff game is a very bad thing. The idea it may help build an "us against the world" mentality and increase their intensity in the remaining games is no consolation IMO. If you ask me, because of game 2, it's now MORE LIKELY the Warriors will start focusing again on the officials instead of the Mavs and lose their composure. I think they are on a slippery slope and their game 2 behavior will bite them. Especially keep an eye on Stephen Jackson. I was incredibly disappointed in Baron Davis; he really let his team down and should have known better. SJax is and always has been a nutcase. He makes it a bit harder for me to root for the Warriors.

Each playoff game is precious and if the Warriors lose in 6 or 7 they can point back to their stupidity in game 2.

No bad calls? c'mon. The technical fouls and the charging foul called against SJ on Howard. Josh was still mving when SJ hit him.

See that's the problem with you people

What about when Davis ran over Harris for a block? That should've been a charge. But the refs didn't want to give him a 3rd foul

The Warriors aren't really a smart team the day they traded Mike Dunleavy...

Ha Ha...thanks. I'm not a big Rockets hater...they would be my 2nd favorite team, of course way behind the Mavs. :D

Harris was still moving his feet Sideways and then flopped when he got bumped. He is a flopper, nothing wrong with that, but he is.

I wouldn't say he flopped?? Bdavis ducked his shoulder and went to his left right into Devin's chest. It was actually a pretty hard foul to take...excuse me...flop :)

Devin needs to stop trying to get the call all the time...I will agree with that. He honestly doesn't get too many calls to go his way for some reason. I guess he is trying to perfect Mr. Floppy on the Spurs...now that is one that flops constantly and gets the freakin call!

somewhere along the road, devin harris quickly became one of my most hated mavs, or at least right along with josh howard. there hasn't been a single call that involved harris that i haven't seen him instantly turn to the refs and start whining or lie on the ground with that stupid look of disbelief.

i'm so sick of dirk's flopping, howard's dirty play/ugly ugly mug, and harris's whining. /vent

on topic though, if the warriors had any signs of mental fortitude, i would put money on them to take the series. they have the talent and athleticism to win, but i don't know if they have what it takes upstairs to win the entire series.

if they can bounce back in game 3 and execute with composure, that'll really show how much potential this team has. if not...then i could see this series ending pretty quickly in favor of the more experienced/better coached mavs.
