Kidd is overrated, hes a little punk, how come no one points out how he BEAT his wife. the only reason shes still with him is ofcourse the $$$.

What does him beating his wife have anything to do with this trade proposition?

maybe because it (although it's totally wrong) has nothing to do with basketball?

i hope minny gets kidd. in 2 years, he will be the most untradeable playe in the league, with that contract, with his age, with his injuries, did i mention that contract?

I've always thought a prerequisite to complaining was definitely warming up

Not saying you cant hate him for talking trash and complaining to the refs constantly, but what does warming up do with it?

    and so did Kidd ...

Jason Kidd as good as Magic Johnson? NO. Stockton? NO.

That's an assinine argument. Sammy is nowhere close to their level either. Kidd isn't on their level, but at the top of his game he was a lot closer to it than sammy ever was.

KG and the Twolves can go to hell if they do this.

They can go to hell anyway.

I do think it would be a stupid trade as well though, because like some have already stated in this thread:

    1. Sammy is a better fit. They need someone who can create their own shot at pg, something they haven't had since Marbury.

    2. Kidd is a much bigger question mark healthwise at this point.

I sure hope Minnesota makes that move because it would boost the Rockets chances of coming out of the West. With Kidd in the backcourt, the defense can collapse even more on Garnett. Let Kidd fire away clanking shots. Please make the trade Mr. McHale.

Basketball's a strange thing -> all about the right chemistry. I think that Sam Cassell gave Minnesota a different dimension last year. He plays a similar role as Chauncey Billups did last season.

For the Wolves, he's a much better fit than Kidd since he can hit the mid-range jumper consistently.

it has to do with my hatred for him

but Eddie Griffin, Carmelo, Kobe, etc are all exceptions to this, their offcourt affairs had nothing to do with basketball.

I was just pointing out that the game hadn't started yet. We were still 20+ minutes from tip off, and he was already b****ing at the refs.

He may have been just talking to the refs. .... Coincidentally Cassell is nearly universally liked by NBA players & personel.

Man, it would be great if they did a Kidd-Cassell swap.

For us and every other team in the West, that is.

Don't get so worked up man. Take this for what its worth, I heard Ric Bucher saying that if it does happen it won't be until after J. Kidd has played a few games during the season to prove that he has fully recovered from the surgery. So if, Kidd declines due to the injury/surgery then Casell will still be a Wolve, if Kidd is the MVP candidate he has recently been, then you have to make that move. I don't know if they match up contract wise so the Wolves may have to give up more which wouldn't be good if they have to give up too much.

It would be a bad move for Minny for three big reasons:

    1. Why Sam worked so well with them, is that KG acts as the offensive playmaker on the team, freeing Sam to do what he does best (and that's NOT running an offense): shoot. KG's problem for years was that he needed scorers around him because he has such an unselfish game. How does Kidd and his flaky jumper fit in?

    2. Chemistry - when you already have stars that love playing with each other, be careful about shaking things up. Nothing kills a team faster than squabbling leaders (see Barkley-Drexler or Rockets-Pippen). Would Kidd and KG have as good a connection as Cassell and Garnett (and Spree)? I highly doubt it. I even wonder if Kidd looks to take over the team from Garnett.

    3. I have incredibly little faith in Kidd returning to his old form. His knee is in the same category as Penny, A Houston, and C Webber (all microfracture knee surgery). He's not going to be back until December at best. He won't be himself for at least a month after that. Sam is also likely past his prime from here on out, but I can see him doing well for the last two years he's got left on his contract (a bargin at $6 mill per). Does anyone honestly think Kidd will be worth more than a third of his $90 million over the insane length of his contract? How does Taylor pay that dead weight???

Also if they get rid of Wally and Sam, they are only left with Spree (streak shooter) and KG. They don't have any consistent outside shooting.

Kidd can't shoot, even Kidd fans know that.

Terrible move for Minnesota. Kidd's the superior PG for some teams, but Sammy's better for the T-Pups.

    Here's another crazy rumor:
    http://www.startribune.com/stories/507/4985692.html
Isiah is crazy, though I would love to see Sam be on the Knicks cause he'll finally get respect from the media.
    But:

    Sam
    Marbury
    Allen Houston
    Crawford

    on the same team???

I think Isiah wants a team of all guards.

That has to be a typo, the Knicks end up with Cassell, and Wally for Kurt Thomas? Oh and the Nets ship out Aaron Williams and Jason Kidd for Kurt Thomas?

Then what happens to Marbury's ego when Sam Cassell out plays him? Maybe Marbury goes back to New Jersey?
