I picked the Heat at first, but then I remembered that McGrady was on the Spurs, so I change my vote to Spurs. Duncan and McGrady in their primes = beast

Mike Miller, Ray Allen, and Rashard Lewis in their primes? Heat easily.

TD and TMac in their primes would have been SCARY!

    TMac prime > Wade prime

    I'm sorry.

    Agree'd!

Most of Wade's major success has been with the help of Shaq, and LJ/Bosh.

Not taking anything away from him. But give TMac a Shaq or LJ and he would have tons of playoff success!

In their primes, TMac was a much better player!

True. Even if his prime was shorter than Wade's even.

I wanted to vote Spurs, but accidentally clicked on Heat...

Nobody would've stopped a prime Tim Duncan.

Even in these Finals he's going to take Bosh/Birdman to the back of the woodshed at his advanced age.

Really good question. Prime Spurs are a lot more balanced. Prime Heat has a lot of redundant players. Prime Duncan and T-Mac could have been a reality about 13 years ago in Orlando.

This is how I would rate them:
    LeBron
    Duncan
    Wade
    McGrady
    Ginobili
    Allen
    Bosh
    Parker
    Miller
    Lewis

Advantage Heat IMO but its close

Wow I forgot Ray Allen, Lewis, Miller and Bird man (from Denver's years). Then again if the Spurs have Tmac playing SG, Parker/Manu continuously attacking the rim and Tim Duncan crashing the boards and block shots? I'd be insane to not pick the Spurs. I think the Spurs have the TEAM concept down, their strengths compliment each other way more the the Heat do, UNLESS you have Ray Allen from his Seattle days starting at SG and maybe slid Wade over to PG? Crazy matchup that'd be.

If it's based purely on talent and how their careers turned out, then the Heat definitely get the nod.

If we're talking about actually playing games in a series, the Spurs have a more balanced and diverse roster and probably would have better chemistry. Throw in Pop over Spoelstra if we're including coaches, and I'd be tempted to go Spurs.

    Interesting question though.

Prime Duncan vs. prime Bosh or anyone else on the Heat roster would be by far the biggest mismatch in the series. And in the end that would be the determining factor.

Prime Wade could finish with the most ridiculous circus shots
Ray and Rashard could shoot like no other.

Tmac would not get that many shots with Gino and Parker
