Tmac will file his complaint with Yahoo, since Stephen A is no longer at ESPN.

Like I said in another thread, McGrady peed in his bed last season and now has to sleep in it. He will come back on the Rockets' terms and has no recourse. If you take a look at what happened with the Pacers and Jamal Tinsley, that shows McGrady has no options other than to do what the Rockets tell him to do. This season, Adelman is in control, not McGrady.

He could file a grievence which would bring in the nba. If he files a grievence and the league doctors get their doctors to clear him, then they will do something in the form of activation, release, trade or tell him to stay away. If they were going the stay away route, they wouldve done it already. Of course, we know where you're going to go with this thread.

    T-Mac's complaint:

"I wanna play with Tim Duncan. Not Yao and these scrubs that haven't done jack to get me out of the first round."

He has already been cleared by doctors..........even Adelman has said everything is ok medically....apparently the insurance is not an issue at all.

A grievance about what? That the Rockets won't activate him?

They don't EVER have to activate him....nothing in his contract says "I have to play, or be active"

The Rockets are doing all the right things, they are letting him practice, including him on the team in every way.

They can never play him, and there is NOTHING Tmac can do...

There is no grevience for an organization saying "Sorry, you are inactive, again"

Tmac is at the organizations mercy and Adelman and Morey's whim......must feel odd to him....

He can always offer the team to buy him out. Out of paying his salary, wheather it is with insurance money or their own, they have no other obligation with him.

I believe if they can not trade him the two sides will do a buyout so Tmac can go somewhere and play and the Rockets can save some $$$.

Out of question, why would we do this? As insurance is right now paying for most of McGrady's salary, the only way a buyout would make sense would be if the Rockets paid him less than 20% of his yearly salary, but I can't fathom why McGrady would want to lose 20 million dollars just to play for a month or two.

They might not...but would you as a franchise want your star player whining in the media and taking attention away from the guys that are fighting for you?

I think if Tmac is not traded, and the org does not play him, it will get REALLY ugly.

And at that point, I don't blame Tmac one bit...he should do whatever is best for his career and the Rockets for their org.

    It is just business.

    Give it a rest.

If the Rockets pay T-Mac $21 mill last season and he "shuts it down," can they file a complaint?

Man, you act like he is a starving orphan in prison.

We are really not sure how the insurance goes, i think the insurance is for injuried players, so at one point Rox will stop getting the money if they are not playing T-Mac out of choice. They will cash out the insurance all they can, but when that option dissapears they will most likely look for a buyout.

I am not sure about that it depends entirely on the wording, and I recall reading that it will pay games missed even if they are not in succession at this point.

So he could play a game, and then the Rockets sit him the next and it would also be covered by insurance, so I don't think the insurance money is still in play.

I think they look for a buyout to save some $$$$ off the cap......etc in the Tmac buyout.....

There has to be something in the insurance policy that says they will only pay if the player can be proven injured or something.

They are probably using the argument,

"It's broken. Only works for 1 round. Tested multiple times."

    Hey Rhino,

If i'm not mistaken Marbury was due to being suspended and not getting paid... So instead of dealing with the Media drama they decided to let him go....

    Sounds familiar....

Why is it assumed that the Rockets are continuing to get insurance money? That could have stopped last week, or it could stop next week, or any day. It likely wouldn't be disclosed to the public.

Not sure that that is the only logical reason...
