this team feels like those Chauncey Ben Wallace prince Hamilton pistons teams. None of them truly deserves to be an all star as an individual but as a collective they earned it. That Pistons team had 4 all stars. We should get 4 lol.

 

I've started paying closer attention to advanced BPM since I learned it has been incredibly accurate in predicting MVP. Sengun is 10th. He's 3rd in DBPM, 1 spot ahead of Wemby. That's not nothing.

Or you're just not knowledgeable of the game in general. I said it a while ago when Jalen was struggling, he is the best player on the Rockets.

You have to understand, Alpi has been playing Pro Basketball since he was 13 - 14? What he's doing now, he's been doing. I still don't see a mid-range game and I definitely don't see a 3pt shot.

However, I do think his defense has improved but that's more about effort and endurance. Ime has worked with him on that.

If you recall, Jalen was a 18yr old AAU player. From highschool, AAU, to Silas, to Ime. So basically, this is his 2nd yr under Ime. A true NBA Coach. So the difference in their developmental levels were obvious.

Jalen has improved his defense, playmaking, mid - range and decision making all in the span of 2yrs. But you probably forgot, since you only look at stats.

 

How do you determine that his mid range has improved? He’s shooting a career low from 10-16 ft and 10-3pt. What makes his playmaking so improved when he’s at a career low in assists? I’m really curious how you conclude his mid range has improved though when he’s shooting career lows.

 

IMO neither has really earned it this year. Sengun looked like he was going to make a strong case for it but he’s lost some consistency and missing a TON of gimmies. Doesn’t help to miss clutch free throws in multiple games either. I think Sengun deserves All NBA recognitio though. Green absolutely not. But he’s played well in general and though the numbers don’t show it, I think he’s playing way smarter (most the time) and hard on defense.
