If the Rockets/Morey wants to upgrade the PF spot, who do they choose?

    1. The offensive focal point of an offense has less energy to exert on defense. Murphy is not the focal point of his offense, while Bosh is. Therefore we can expect Bosh to improve his defense in Houston, just by virtue of having better offensive options on this team so he does not have to exert as much energy on offense, as well as the better defensive surrounding cast and coaching than he did in Toronto, whereas the aging Murphy will probably not.

    2. You can make the argument to get a cheaper and slightly worse version of any player. Why not resign Scola to a much smaller contract instead of giving up trade assets AND pay Murphy much more to do basically one thing better- shoot 3's?

    3. I agree that Morey is going to look at all the options, not just Bosh. I don't even think Bosh by himself will make us championship contenders, even with Yao back. He is one piece. There ARE other pieces available.

Its not about stats, its about fit.

    Bosh fits, player x doesnt.

I would love to see Amare in a rockets uni over Bosh...Bosh is not a proven winner. Anyways, if Amare nor bosh is available than give us Pau or Dirk other than that Scola is not a bad PF actually hes a very good PF maybe he can be our backup to a star PF someone like an AL Jefferson will fit our system. Cheap and strong could really compliment Yao in the post, help our D and our scoring down low, also he will help the perimeter game alot like Ariza martin and brooks...we would have a pretty good team...

    C-Yao/Hill
    F-Al.Jefferson/Scola
    F-Ariza/Westly Johnson
    G-Martin/Buddinger
    G-Brooks/Lowry

DNP list- Taylor and second round pick

This would team be a deep team....and i lke the lineup,we would be big across the board and Al and Yao would help out on the lack of D on the perimeter

Give me reasons why Bosh fits and Murphy wouldn't

Is it because Bosh is an All-Star and Murphy is not?

Is it because he's been a franchise player (that didn't do much with the team he had) and Murphy's never been more than a 2nd option?

Is it because Bosh has the potential to be our version of Chris Webber despite the fact that Webber was actually a passer during his Sacramento tenure (something that was necessary to move the ball in Adelman's offense)?

I don't know about everyone else, but for me, to say Bosh "fits" with the Rockets without some kind of reasoning actually makes me skeptical about how well/successful he would be as a Rocket.
