No way they lose this series, if they do. I will hate the NBA that much more. When their season does end, whether after the finals or before, I am proud of this team and I can't wait till next season. We really have a special gruop of guys.
No matter what happens with this series, I think I've become a Rockets-only fan. Eff the rest of the NBA. I'm boycotting anything that doesn't say Houston.
Geriatric more like it but I'm proud nonetheless Here is to another season IF we lose which we won't. BRING ON THE ENSURE!!
I'm about 50% proud now, because if we weren't so cocky and arrogant in game 3 and 4, we would have won. When the team buckles down, we are clearly a much better team than dallas. But we hit a clutch three and all of a sudden, our guys get a big head and we stop focusing on defense and taking harder shots.
I prolly won't be on this forum for awhile... and I'll be depressed for awhile... Probaly till all of the playoffs is over.
I'd feel bad. The Rockets were up 2-0 at home and up both home games but lost focus and lost. That is dissappointing. If we lose on Thus--4 in a row and 3 at home--really dissappointing. I guess an epic game 7 loss after we crush them on Thus would be more acceptable. If we advance but lose to the Suns--even if we only win a game or two--I'd be plenty happy with that. The Suns are playing at a much higher level than the Mavs and Rockets.
COMPLETELY DISAGREE! Whomever wins this series will RIP the Suns a new one! M-A-R-K MY W-O-R-D-S. It is too bad that two of the top three teams in the West had to play each other in the 1st round, but that is how things worked out. If we played the Sonics or some other team, we would be in the 2nd round by now. Remember, the Spurs last year won the first 2 home games and then lost 4 in a row to the Lakers. The Rockets in 1996 got swept by the Sonics. So even GREAT teams can suffer losing 4 straight. But I swear we should have won last night, that game was STOLEN from us, straight up! We should be leading 3-2 now. Damn the refs!
after all this team has been through i am extremely proud of how this team has gutted it out. despite slow start and injuries they are hanging tough with a much more talented and deeper mavericks squad. what i will forever be upset that is of course the officiating robbing us of chances to win the game or at worst tie. imagine if we had howard healthy i seriously think he would have been the difference in the series he is a decent rebounder (what we've been lacking) a mobile enough defender at his size and most importantly a great scorer from the perimeter (15-18) and on the inside where the mavs are the weakest. with howard we'd be up 3-2 at worst imo. whenever this season ends, if it doesnt end in a championship i will not be disheartened for the future is brighter than its even been in recent years with my rockets.
The Rockets have played stupid. 9 assists total for the first 3 quarters? No team deserves to win that way. The only reason the refs have gotten the attention is that the Rockets let themselves in a hole and put themselves at the mercy of the refs in close games. This team makes just as much sense as the SF lead years and the declining years of Dream. They fall complacent and try to battle back because of their inflated sense of superiority. It must be karma and reincarnation...
Care to wage a signature for loser by the winner for a month? I need to cash in on Manny for one. I think the Rockets have a chance against the Suns, if we play really smart and slow and run everything through Yao and Tmac. We would have to play better than what we did in game 1 and game 2. The Mavs have no chance versus the Suns. The Suns are like them but better shooters. The Mavs lose at every position except PF and even then Dirk is going to get his hands full trying to guard Marion/Amare on the other end.
