To be honest, I'd probably stop following them so closely. And if I became skeptical of the team's choice of young players to build around, like I did during the Francis-Mobley era, I'd probably stop watching for stretches of the regular season.

So given the necessity of maintaining a fanbase, I can understand why the Rockets would steer clear of losing, even though it may be the best path in the long run.

well, not a lot of people here, are true fans of the Astros, a lot dont live in Houston, so why they should watch the astros, some people loves basketball but doesnt like baseball, so why is that relevant?

and answering to the thread, I will still look for a stream to watch the rockets.

Losing is losing. After years of sucking I don't think it matters if we are losing cause the players are hurt, or we have no players or we are trying to tank.

Most of us probably cannot answer that question honestly.

Last time the Rockets had a team with less than 20 wins was 1983. They had only had two years where they won less than 20 games and 2+4 years where they have won less than 30.

I think I would follow if it was young guys playing with Rockets intensity. Something like watching the Sonics in their last/cruel season.

20 win Rockets will have me following box scores online as long as the veterans are seeing the majority of the floor time.

Once our new coach starts letting the young guns get the majority of the burn, i'll tune into more games.

Bad teams have to be careful when valuating of their best players. One of my favorite activities is squinting when I watch Jordan Hill play while reciting my affirming 100% organic Wican chants. "consistency and dominance."

Would you guys trade Kevin Martin for Mitch Richmond? Not now. A 1994 version. Not only was he a fellow King legend but he was also the best player on a chode of a team.

I have found ways to watch the team even when they were not so good. I watched them one time at a base camp in Bosnia. Steve Francis was on our team. It was a good game. Actually i dont remember if they were good or not because I didnt get to watch all of the games there that season. It was just the good feeling it brought to see them play while I was stationed overseas.

    Have seen them all.
    Glen Rice as a Rocket
    Eddie Johnson buzzer beater
    Steve Francis and Mobley
    Drafting of Yao
Yaos years before he was good
    Kelvin Cato
    Matt Maloney
    Drexler
    Pippen
    The Championship years
Before those years and they almost traded Hakeem at one point
    Hakeems whole career
Mario, Cassel, Horry, Kenny Smith, Vernon Maxwell, Thorpe, Bullard, Herrera
    Mutumbo
    Artest
Tmac and the trade for him
heck even hated Knicks Charles Oakley and Mark Jackson played for us
