Tmac would but not Alston he is not part of this team anymore lol. That was a dumb comment. Answer the question, No he would not get credit because he wasn't playing in the playoff games. That is a simple question.
i want us to pass the first round just so t-mac would be an even more embarassment than he arleady is.
LOL! Cause those Orlando and Houston teams would have beaten Detroit, Utah and Dallas if he wasn't on the team. Grow a brain.
I'd imagine he'd be written down in the record books as being a member of the team. But there will be a big fat * next to his name.
Waste of a thread! Ones mind should not even be thinking about such things! Sit back and enjoy the rest of the season, Let Morey worry about Tracy etc.
Actually, no they wouldn't. This team is easily no less then twice as better then any team T-Mac has went to the finals with. But despite that, he will still be looked at as a star that never made it past the first round if the Rockets make it into the second round. But really, there is no denying that none of the previous teams talent level or match ups were ever in favor of T-Mac getting out of the first. It is almost as if the Heavens have personal mandate for him not to make it past that level.
The goal is the ring, not some rinky dink 2nd rd achievement. Not that he'll appreciate it, but just like Yao is 0-fer even though he missed last season and maxwell was suspended the playoff and got a ring, yes he's still part of the team.
Completely agree. You have Brooks (hopefully) being able to step in as a starting PG and produce. He wasn't really a factor in the playoffs last year. Scola is turning into a really solid player. Obviously you have Artest on the team. And Von Wafer coming out of nowhere to be a solid rotation player. If you remember that last season Yao was gone, and go back to the season before that as the best shot we've had at the 2nd round (the team that got JVG canned), you could make the argument that this team without Tmac is better than that one. Tmac that season is much better than Artest this season, but this season you have Scola, Brooks, Wafer, Lowry, Landry. Back then you had Head, Hayes, Lucas, Alston, Howard (I rest my case). Again, agree. The sad thing is, when people look back Tmac is going to look like a failure. It doesn't help that he didn't portray himself as this great player that he could've been. But when you look at the teams and each playoff series, some of these situations I don't even think Kobe could have made it out of. We lost in 7 games to Utah that one season, but in that game 7 Tmac had a really nice near triple double game.
If that does happen, and someone asks Tmac: "Do you consider this year as the break of your first-round-curse?" What would he say?
Lowry_Fan! Wow, that's fresh. I liked what I saw in his first game. I see good things to come. Welcome to the boards. As far as McGrady... I'd bet his fragile psyche would crumble if we made it past the first round w/out him.
For the Rockets to even get a first round win they better secure home court for the the first round. As it stands, the Rockets have no shot of beating the Lakers or Spurs in a 7 game series, would OF struggled against the Suns if Amare didn't go down, and once the Jazz get Boozer back, probably can't beat them either in a series. Once Dallas gets the Jet back, its debateable weather they could run Dallas out either. I do like our odds against the Nuggs, Hornets or TBlazers though. Its a good thing its not just to Rockets with the injury bug going on, and hopefully they will secure a 4 seed, as they have no chance to get a 1-3 obviously. Quick, how many teams with winning records in the Western Conference has a losing record on the road? Give up? Two. The Jazz, which seems tho happen every year with them, and the Rockets.
