He's still a member of the team. I mean, if the Rockets win a championship, doesn't he get a ring? If so, logically if they get out of the first round he'll have technically done so as well. I'm pretty sure he wouldn't be too excited about it, though.

No, and even if he was playing right now. Critics would still make the excuse saying he was carried by Yao Ming and Ron Artest. He won't get any credit for it, I'll tell you that.
