Wow, really, we wont make the playoffs with over 1/2 of our salary out or injured? No need to rebuild. Obviously we are making the right moves to trade Tracy for some younger players. But without Yao and Tracy, you cant really expect us to be guarnteed a playoff spot. Take out Dirk and Kidd and the Mavs dont make it, same with Duncan and Parker. If we dont make it, it's not the end of the world. We just need to look toward next season and make some moves. Yes, the staff is looking at trading some pieces you mentioned, but no reason to get rid of Yao.
This is a horrible thread, IMO. we are a playoff team. transactions happening to improve the team is likely, but we're not counting on it or dying for it. we played a league-high amount of games on the road, and a WCConf-low amount of games at home. give credit when credit is due. the Rockets have done fine, to many people's amazement, and the future games that well be playing are going to be easy for us. we just have to stay focused and produce.
To be realistic I don't think this team is going to make the playoffs unless a trade is made. Of the 8 teams ahead of us I could only see one not making the playoffs and that's Oklahoma City, and we must remember that if Memphis/New Orleans keep up their level of play they to could possibly make a bid for a playoff spot. All 8 teams above us are loaded with far more talented players and stars than our current active roster has on it. Just look at every team ahead, or right below us they all have at least a pair of all-star caliber players. La Lakers-Bryant/Gasol/Artest Dallas-Dirk/Marion/Terry/Kidd Denver-Carmelo/Billups San Antonio-Duncan/Parker/Jefferson Portland-Roy/Aldridge Phoenix-Nash/Stoudamire Oklahoma City-Durant/WestBrook Utah-Williams/Boozer Then you look at the 2 teams bordering us in Memphis and New Orleans Memphis-Randolph/Gay/Mayo New Orleans-Paul/West I think we are fortunate to be where we currently are. Barring any serious injuries to these top teams there amount of pure talent is just overwhelming. Even if our team plays with 100% effort every night it will still be hard to make up the lack of talent we have compared to the above teams mentioned. And after the All-Star break most teams tend to turn it up a notch, not down. May the force be with us.
But were bearly beating bad teams like bucks and wolves at home recently and lost badly to heat. Hard schedule is no excuse when you can't win more when schedule get easier. Team is not playoff caliper now unless they star playing gooder.
(OMFGWTFBBQ) We are ..... Yes we are currently out of the playoffs now and will keep slipping down the bottom tier if we fail to make any trades asap. Thunder and Jazz are upping their game now. Utah beat spurs the other day after a decade of duncan and let see if we can beat them come Friday or else it will be a big blow since this is supposed to be the easier part of the schedule compared to the first months. At that time actually we are faring better than now .... how many loses in the last 5 games? Go Rockets  i will still bleed Rockets reds even if i have to go through the 2001 nightmare season again where mobley and francis was hobbling and was forced to start Moochie freaking Norris
I dunno why people are being so negative about this thread, when its the plain truth. We are sucking it up right now. Something needs to happen (a trade, Trevor Ariza finding a bottomless pit, Shane and Chuck drinking some Space Jam water) to jumpstart this team.
Haters wanna hate Lovers wanna love I don't really want None of the above I want to piss on you!!!!!!!!
New threads are supposed to offer new insight. This particular thread has, more or less, already been done at least twice this week...and they weren't particularly strong offerings to begin with. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=180709 http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=180581
hey Kurt! It's Josh! Yes, this thread sucked so bad I'm just using it to say hello to a friend. On another note, I like cheese, maybe I should make a thread about cheese. Thoughts? ;-)
