Scratch that last trade. If the Rockets include their first round pick, they can keep Budinger and throw in Taylor. They would not need to sign Mike Miller.

    Curry / Lowry
    Martin/ Budinger
    Maggette / Ariza
    Scola / Hill / Jeffries
    Yao / Hayes

Evan Turner or Whiteside. Evan turner IMO has the ability to be in a class with Brandon Roy or Danny Grainger in the second tier NBA wing players within his first 3 seasons, while Whiteside seems to be the best project type of pick for us going into the future. He could fill a huge hole for us left by Yao in the future if he lived up to his potential.

There is no way I draft Cousins unless he falls deep in the draft and becomes a steal. He should produce halfway decent numbers but his work ethic and attitude are huge red flags to me. Not a good fit at all for our locker room. Think Zack Randolph five years ago and thats what you would get. My wishlist would go something like this, leaving out Wall cause there is no way we are getting the #1 pick, and we are fine at the point guard spot.

    1. Evan Turner
    2. Cole Aldrich ( what you see is what you get. Center who you can count on, nothing flashy)
    3. Hassan Whiteside (similar to J. Hill in abilities, thats is why he is only 3)
    4. Greg Monroe
    5. Jan Vesely

    Wall, Turner, Cousins.

All three will be great NBA players most likely. If you get Turner, I think Morey's job is very simple as he has every role filled except needing one big man. Morey would have plenty of ammo to go get a great PF/C.

Draft the best available talent there is. Use the roster to trade for other players. Never a fan for trading away picks, and never will be.

John Wall will be Dwyane Wade on a rookie contract. That's the truth.

I like Cousins, I really do. I am YOH but if the team that drafts Cousins offers him for Yao, I would take it in half a heartbeat.

I am one of those people convinced that DeMarcus will be a top 5 center in this league within 2-3 years. He is highly talented, plays very hard and seems to know what he is doing out there.

If we get #1, we have to take Wall. Forget how well or badly he fits, you cannot pass up a player like that. He has the potential to be the best PG in a league which is loaded with PGs. His game is so natural, so smooth. He is quick, he plays D, he has amaazing court vision. You cannot pass that up, you just cannot do it. No matter who wins the lottery, no matter who they have at PG, passing up John Wall would be a mistake of epic proportions.

Well then if they weren't at Lebron's level how can you count them as "once in 15 years" talent? The poster wasn't talking about talented players appearing in the draft every 15 years, he was talking about specially talented players. Sure he was exaggerating, but the fact is superstars don't appear on every draft, especially at Lebron's level of athleticism which Wall looks like he belongs in.

As for Yao being great had stayed healthy, you could say that for a lot of players, including our very own Tracy Mcgrady and Ralph Samson. However the reality is Yao Ming is NOT healthy, and SHOULD NOT be considered a great player.

    Evan Turner....

He is more complete than john wall and doesn't seem to have the cockiness Wall does.

Turner was a leader...Wall wasn't (Cousins was more of a leader on that squad)

We are pretty close in needing a starting center. Unfortunately.

I would take it as a sign from the basketball gods and keep the draft pick and package lowry, battier and fillers for bosh or amare.
