I think Wade would be realistic if we had the goods for a sign and trade especially if we can convince him that Yao is healthy. You would be essentially adding two all-star players to an above 500 team and still have the MLE to work with.

Man Wall is getting insane hype on the level between OJ Mayo and LeBron. I don't watch much college Bball, is it really that serious? Legitimate franchise changer?

Go with the best player available....use the Knicks picks for trade bait to get another star player...

Wall dominates the ball like a good PG should. Wall shot isn't bad at all, not like that can't improve. The important thing is he's a 6'4 guy with the handles of Iverson and the vision of Chris Paul and the athleticism of Rose...that is one move I would question what Morey was doing.

You don't trade a guy like Wall before he plays a game, I can see him being traded after half a season of disappointment and another team would trade a star for his potential alone.

I don't think so. He's a lot like Derrick Rose in many ways. He'll be a very good point guard and may develop into an all-star down the road, but his jump shot is bad and his decisionmaking would get him in a lot more trouble if he wasn't so athletically gifted. He drives into the teeth of the defense too much and he won't get away with it as much on the NBA level.

I wouldn't expect him to jump in and be a top 5 point guard in his first season. Fortunately he has a ton of upside so he could be a franchise changer down the road. Just not right away.

This is funny, on Draftexpress they say his worst case is a 6-4 version of Lowry....

Draft Turner and use Ariza or Battier in a sign and trade for Bosh.

    He's not a terrible shooter...

Morey isn't a idiot, were talking about a franchise player here.

    Maybe, maybe not.

When talking about prospects you usually refer to "floor" (what the guy he is now, or the worst you see him being) and "ceiling" (his potential, or what he could become.)

Right now, John Wall's floor is somewhere around Derrick Rose's rookie season. His ceiling is as a franchise player, superstar, whatever, but he won't necessarily reach that ceiling.

IF we get chance to draft either wall or Turner I wouldn't give up neither of them, both of them will be superstars and they have bright future.

Apparently some people would want to trade the lottery pick for a role player like Battier.

I say go for best player available.

I know we have some talent at every position. But, if you can find yourself a legit MVP candidate, you've got to go for it.

Brooks and Lowry are a formidable pair. They'd of been the missing piece of the championship for the the Hakeem/Barkley with at Maloney pg.

But if Wall is as good as they say and the Rocket had the 1st pick, get him.

Best available, regardless of need. Because there is enough talent to set up a nice well rounded team.

Take one of them I'll be happy.

    John Wall/Evan Turner/DeMarcus Cousins

And I would trade AB so fast if we land John Wall. :p

Will take Ekpe Udoh from Baylor if we stay at #14.

Can we trade you for something preferable like cancer? Stop posting the same thing over and over again.

So... as the 14th worst record, we have 0.6% of drawing the #1 draft pick. With the Rockets's luck in getting good ping pong balls, I woudn't be surprised if they got one of the them picks 1 through 5.

Odds are the odds. What are the odds you flip a coin 10 times and all of them are heads? Not very good, but it has happened before.

Get ready John Wall, we are coming for you!

Brooks / Lowry / Jordan Crawford (buy 2nd round pick)
    Martin / Budinger /Taylor
    Turner / Ariza / Battier
    Scola / Hill /Jeffies
Yao / Hayes / Alabi (buy 2nd round pick)

Forget buying picks and be realistic about the pick because we won't get a top 3. We can trade it. The truth is this draft is pretty weak (excluding Turner who may just be a smaller, quicker Lamar Odom.)

    http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yyzm7yt

Curry is locked up for 2 more years than Brooks. That will save a lot of money in the long run. Budinger would have to be traded. Sign Mike Miller with the MLE.

    Curry / Lowry
    Martin/ Miller / Taylor
    Maggette / Ariza
    Scola / Hill / Jeffries
    Yao / Hayes

This is very realistic imo. GS needs players and veteran leadership. Battier, Andersen, Budinger, and Brooks would be good for them. The Rockets get two great players who can score, get to the line, and fit in Rick's offense next to Yao. Ariza will play 20mpg to limit Maggette's minutes.

    The Rockets win a championship.
