If the draft was held tomorrow how high would Carl Landry go?

I think what a lot of people are basing their picks on is simply how well the player has played and not what the drafting team needed. Sure Landry has played like a top 10 pick, but that doesn't mean he will go there. I'm too lazy to look up the draft order, but I'm guessing that a few teams would pass on him simply because they did not have a need for him, or had a bigger need elsewhere. Other things like potential have to be taken into consideration as well. Sure if the draft was tomorrow and it was based on how well players have played this year Landry would be up there, but since that's not solely what it is based on he would unfortunately go lower than what a lot of people are suggesting.

NBA is usually a draft best player available league. Some teams are stupid and don't, but the majority of teams draft on talent alone. There is alot of trading in the NBA as a team with a need will try to move into a position so take the BPA is at a need position.

There are not 10 players with better upside than Landry in the draft. He probably goes somewhere between 7-10. Not that this is saying much, but he would start for over half of the Eastern Conference. Defense needs a lot of work still, but he still has time to work on that.
