If T-mac is done for the season, so official is our finals aspiration

Certainly with a completely healthy Tmac our odds would have improved greatly, but honestly we haven't seen that all season, and were unlikely to even if surgery wasn't required. Given the choice between the mostly injured Tmac and playing Von Wafer or someone else, I am all for benching Tmac. If Tmac is able to come back completely healthy then I will be the first to cheer him on. But if he can't play at an all star level then having him dominate the ball every posession was hardly a positive.

We definitely won't be favorites to do anything in the playoffs, but the west is still wide open at the moment and not nearly as strong as it has looked in the recent past. Our supporting cast is perhaps the strongest we have ever had and I think our chances now are actually better than they were with the injured version of Tmac dominating the ball.

 

Don't give up on the Rockets just yet.

Even without T-Mac this team has shown it play some pretty good ball and it is in the playoffs we've often seen a team that was supposedly less talented beat better teams. We are still have a good shot getting home court advantage and possibly even a high seed. Losing T-Mac hurts but its not the end of the season.

This board always overreacts to bad news and to good news. We win a couple of games and we are a lock for the Championship. We lose a couple and we are lottery bound. A lot can change in a long season and in the playoffs and there is still a lot of basketball left to play.

 

And this thread is based on what this team has done WITH Tmac? Which is NOTHING.

LOL, seriously, I would like to see what we can do without him.

 

Our chances to get to the Finals and maybe the WCF are over. We need more injuries from other teams and favorable matchups to get to the promised land.
