the better question is, who voted for Phil Jackson??? That man is worthless. He just has an amazing group of assistant coaches that do ALL of the coaching on his teams. All he does is all that zen crap. Have you ever seen him in a practice or a game . . . all he does is sit on his a** while Tex and the rest of the coaches do all the important coaching. Phil Jackson is the most over-rated coach on the planet!!

If Rudy ever gets fired, I'd like to see the Rockets take a long, hard look at Quinn Snyder.

Rudy is a great coach, with alot of class. His coaching performance at the World championships is appreciated a great deal more after Karl took us to 6th place. Te fact that Rudy was excited about rebuilding this team speaks volumes. Year before last I believe we had the same record as 95 and our 6th seed run. The Western conference is deep and constant injuries made it impossible to put a good run together last year. Rudy will control his own successful destiny as the Rockets coach.

DallasThomas: I don't know if you really picked up on it, but my sig is of course an idea from the greatest of all time: Ali

Isn't Quinn Snyder the coach of Missouri? If that's who your talking about, I'd agree. However, we won't be considering him until Rudy turns 60.

How come Hakeem is not on that list?

I htink he'd be a great coach. But I also think he'd be a terrible assistant coach.

Thats a good point. I think Hakeem would be the same type of coach Rudy would in that, he'd be a players coach. I cant see Hakeem scribbling plays on a chalkboard though. Not sure why.

Rudy is not as good of an Xs and Os coach as other coaches in the league. But both Rudy's advantage in the past/present and Hakeem's potential advantage in the future would be that people would want to play for them and because of that, players will overachieve and make the team much better than it would look on paper.

It has tobe an available coach so NONE of those will work. Murph would be the likely choice with Kenny Smith being a possibility as well.

I think Calvin would talk too fast in the huddle for anyone to understand him. lol

Kenny Smith? He wouldnt exactly be a "defensive" coach, thats for sure.
