How do you compare Murphy with Kai Jones? His range and jumper looks fluid to me.

Then they definitely need to try and somehow get a max player. Not some other role player.
I would also try to hit on every pick I get in the first.

I really want Josh Giddey, i know we have KPJ but this kid has so much potential.

I think you will be really disappointed with his slow foot speed. He won't be able to stop anyone. His passing is awesome, but his height can't help anyone because of his lack of speed. He can get away with it in Australia, not in the NBA.

    Giddey + Silas = 75 point quarter

As in our defense giving up that many points.

Giddey 's foot speed is probably equal to Andrew Bogut at best. Perhaps even slower than that .

I think they are two different types of player and really hard to compare , Jones is a big and Murphy a SG/SF .

Murphy , a long rangy positionless part at the 2/3/4. I kinda compare him to Ariza with the length , wingspan , shooting.
He had shooting splits of 50.3/43.3/92.7 I believe he is the only 50/40/90 guy in the draft.

Kai Jones reminds me of Christian Wood .... a modern 4/5 that can step outside & shoot or work the pick & roll game.

As we get closer to the lottery on the 22nd, got to bump this thread.

I know no one want to think about this, but it’s a reality that there is 47.9% chance of us picking 18th.

If Garuba slips, Rockets should snatch him at #18.

If we get stuck at 18, we need to try to flip 23,24 and an asset to get up in the late lotto. Would Golden State take House, 23, 24 for 14?

I look at it differently. This is a pretty deep draft, and each one of those picks gives you at least a puncher's chance at getting a future All-Star. Unless you really, really love one particular guy on draft night, I'd sit tight and go BPA on 18, 23 and 24. Your odds are better to get a foundational piece with three mid-to-late first rounders than two.

Kai Jones is definitely a 4 or small ball 5.

Kai is always compared to Jaren Jackson due to similar athleticism and size.

But Kai actually reminds me a 6'11 Jeff Green on offense, with Kenny Faried's energy.

And on defense he is reminiscent of longer Patrick Williams, or Aaron Gordon in transition.

Kai Jones ability to lockdown 1-5 on defense is main difference between him and Wood.

Kai Jones is a freak disruptor.

It will be what it will be. The team can't be fixed in one, or even two drafts. We got a long road ahead of us even if everything falls perfectly.

Best #18 was Dumars. After that, you get a few Ricky Pierce/James Posey/David West types and a bunch of nothing.

Also, over the last 20 years it seems picks 3 and 4 have more star power than picks 1 and 2.

Yea but they have the option of anyone past that too. 19th was 6 all star Nate Archibald
, so on...latrell spreewell at 24, gerald wallace 25, vlade 26, denis rodman 27, Tony parker 28 mvp of the league was a 2nd roudner

Theres talent, Stone has shown the ability to get some diamonds in unlikely places. We ended up with Tate and KMJ, both have first round talent last year but they slippd to the end of the 2nd and undrafted.

Much of Morey's analytic staff has stayed on apparently, we're still equipped to do things with the late picks let alone consolidate and trade up.

Marcus Morris or Mook turned out to be a good 6th man and a decent shooter, I will give you that, just not a Paul Pierce lite.
