    Turner.

I think this system, with more emphasis on defense and a star player or two, can win.

No to JVG. We need a coach that can develop talent.

Why is there no "Inside the Orginization: Shane Battier" option. That's my vote...

Great deadline move would be for him to retire right NOW

    Right on!

Jerry Sloan (can't believe I'm saying this) is the guy I would want but he appears to be staying in Utah.

I mentioned Larry Brown in another thread and got hammered for it.
That said, someone mentioned one of his disciples Quin Snyder......

I think a better poll would have been veteran coach vs promoted asst coach (from here or elsewhere), in which case I'd pick the latter. But, I'd rather keep Adelman first.

Hells no to JVG. I think he's a great coach. But, not for developing young players. Besides, given the way we parted ways, I don't see them really mending fences.

lol at people wanting the most boring coach on this earth

does anyone remember him coaching the rockets? the worst time of my life

I like him as a person, his quite funny, but thats about it...he is not a good coach

I think Adelman will retire, don't see him going for one more season with the team we have right now. he's probably going to ask for some drastic changes before he makes any decision

he is not a good coach...the stupidity of some on this board is truly mind boggling...van gundy and adelman are great in a profession that is very competitive...i always wonder when i read this board how good you guys are at your jobs or how others would write about your job level competency.

and as for developing players...one question...who did he have that went on and was developed by others...started hayes, played head as a rookie...the guys he didnt play...wells, swift, novak, vspan, lucas, snyder, etc...what did they ever do after he was fired...

old news, old arguments, not fact based....your clutchfans board!!! haters of coaches.

and rick is awesome and is so much better than a guy like elie its not even funny

Sikma? Sikma doesn't even do anything other than hold a clipboard and play the piano in Adam's Family.

JVG, assuming he wants to take up the challenge and coach a young team.

    +1

Rockets would make good choice by choosing mike bud as there next coach.

He has been pop's #1 assistant ever since he joined the Spurs in 96.

He has got alot of recognition from teams to be the next coach, but for whatever reason has decided to never leave, or get hired.

I think it's more because he has never seemed like that intimidating type of coach, I have never seen him yell at his players like pop does, even when pop gets throw out, and is always joking around with the players during timeouts from all the years I see him on the sideline.

Spurs fans really are looking forward to the bud era, when pop decides to hang up the suit, if he doesn't get a HC position.

Thibodeau should have been the guy we promoted, but the timing didn't work out since RA was well entrenched.

I wouldn't mind seeing Cassell on the sidelines.
