Problem is, he's like Wells. If one goes in, he'll continue to do it no matter how many times he misses.

    (Bonzi's and the THREE)

(Rafer and his ugly tear drop)

and so is gene peterson. he complained so much with each running floater. it was amazing. i didn't think commentators could complain about it, but he sure did. rafer needs to go away.

Seems like a lot of the commentators are criticizing Skip - some subtly and some not so subtly. Worrell did it, Bullard did it, the radio guys did it, and the Grizzlies announcer said that as a Grizzlies' fan, you want that guy [Rafer] shooting. Seems like everybody sees it. Rafer's poor play is ruining a potentially elite team. Hopefully, the pressure will help bring about a change - sooner rather than later. Our guys aren't getting any younger.

Yet the coaches... JVG, Adelman, Hubie Green... don't.

    Coaches > fans and commentators.

We know he has been shooting bad for the season... but whats the point of you idiots ripping him after every game? Especially after a decent game like this. So even if he put up 5/5 fg... 10 assist/2 to... I bet you guys would still make a thread like this. It's freaking stupid.

I said his stats for the night wasn't that bad and people don't need to rag on him after every game.

Say what you want, but his game tonight was not the reason we lost. He played better than James (more boards, and more assist with 1 less point... on 40% shooting as oppose to Mike at 50%).

If you want to bring up how he's playing this season or how he's shooting... why not make a thread about Shane Battier? He's shooting just as bad.

I swear I want some of you guys to say some of the **** you do to his face... so he can spit on you then stab you. (jk)

    Approximately... 100 times this season.

If he decides to have decent games on a CONSISTENT basis, then yes, the threads will stop. I love my Rockets, and I've supported them since I became a fan, but it's hard to support their insistence on leaving Rafer on the court. Like Clutch said in some other thread, the worst he shoots the more minutes he gets.

It is very frustrating and I finally snapped (hence my first thread hating on Rafer).

But why would you do it after a game where he played decent? 40% shooting is not horrible... 7 assist with 2 turnover is not horrible. Although he missed a couple threes and one floater, he still had a decent game.

If you started this thread after a horrible game... I wouldn't mind but after a decent showing... why?

I tell you I wouldn't mind it if Rafer gets less minutes, I really want to see Aaron Brooks play.

Yea, Hubie...there's a forked tongue for ya...in the first half he's commenting on what a great game he's having, and then early in the second, on what a terrible game he is having along with Bonzi going 1-12 before he hit his three pointer.

I'm not one of the many people on this board who seem to hate Alston with passion. I believe he's actually our best option starting at point guard right now, and though I'm less than content with that, I accept it and I don't hate the guy.

However, I think every time Rafer attempts that floater or that tear drop they should take the basketball and force it into his anal cavity. I really would like to see his ratio on that shot. I'm thinking he misses it 999 times for every 1000 times he attempts it. BUT HE NEVER GIVES UP ON IT!

I don't hate Rafer, but I dislike his game.

I'm glad that he can dribble the ball and give it to Yao (every once in a while), but he clearly isn't the best option anymore. If you are hurting your team, you aren't the best option.
