If you reduce Parker to a long range bomb jump shooter, that's pretty good D right there. You want him to take that, it just happened that he sunk them, and you live with that. Tony Parker is no bum player, mind you.

Rafer game should expand his skill to attacking the hoop..he's just too quick not to utilize that skills.

Rafer should go talk to David Copperfield, learn how to make the ball dissapear on the way to the hoop, and reapper while lays it in.

Expanding the rim would help him more..........

    Possibly.

exactly. because really, thats the only thing hes good at, scoring wise. however, coaches have drilled it in his head to be a pure point guard and only take the open 3, which he cant make! whenever plays break down he settles for the teardrop/floater, which he cant make! if only adleman would make him drive instead of take the 3, things would be so so right.

Yes... 4-10 FG is horrible... 2 steals is horrible... 4 boards is horrible... 7 assist with 2 turnover.... so horrible.

I honestly think Rafer would have a higher percentage scoring if he sticks with 3p. You dont realize a guy is too quick for a wasted talent until he is 31 and nobody discovered it. He just happened to make two incredible shots tonight, props to him, and missed probably 98 of them prior.

No it's not.. I mean if the shot was challenged I'd understand, but giving him an easy 3 seconds before he throws the ball up is never good "D", and you never want him to take that... because like you mentioned, he's no bum player.

Open jumper or dirve from Parker, take your pick. Parker is an allstar.

no, i saw the games when both yao and tracy were out and really every single game he's played in. coaches know he can attack the basket, but because he can pass and he's smart, AND they already have players that can attack better than him, i.e. the superstars he's played alongside, they've chosen to focus his talent on being a pure point. he does exactly what they say like a good little soldier, and thats why he will forever remain the starter. but... scoring wise hes only good at attacking the basket.

I don't even think it would help that much.. it might increase the percentage of the ball touching the rim (as opposed to the current frequent airballs) :D

Yes, 31% field goal percentage on the season is impressive, 20% from 3 is very impressive, 4.7 assists is very impressive for a guy that's supposed to be a "real PG", 1.7 TOs is extremely impressive for the best AND1 dribbler in the worldz of basketballz. impressive, so impressive.

all of your sarcasms are belong to us.

I think Rafer played a lot better today vs. previous games. His shooting is still off even when left wide open. Today I saw something I like about his game which I do not know why he does not do more. The guy is a great dribbler and very quick. Tonight he actually attacked the basket for easy layups (he did that 2 or 3 times late in the game). I like to see him do that more but please no teardrop or that floater crap (you are not Tony Parker). If he attacks the basket for layups more often and work on his jump shoot, Rafer is actually pretty good.

Noticed Rafer attempted two layups from the left side of the floor. The one he made he used his left hand. The one he missed he used his right hand and shot it high off the glass. Moral?? Use the left hand on the left side folks. Rafer, welcome to junior high hoops.

Damn. You made me remember Rafer leaving Tony Parker way, way open in the fourth, and seeing him pathetically scramble to block shots.

1 less Rafer airball 3 and floater, and the Rox would've won the game.

Rafer should be pulled immediately once he does this idiotic "floater" or "teardrop" or whatever you call it, no matter if it goes in or not. Pull him immediately and don't put him back in once he does that.
